Minvy User Reviews

Just the app I need for my collections

Finally an app that is intuitive and easy to use. Categorization and labeling allow the right level of customization

A great free app and no upsells

Minvy is a well-designed home inventory app that makes the whole process much less painful. The NFC tag feature is the standout — attach a tag to an item, tap your phone, and it’s in your inventory with photos and details. Setup is straightforward and the interface stays out of your way.
It’s the kind of app you hope you never need , but just in case … I’ve been using this for a while, the developers have continued to listen and take feedback and the app continues to improve .

The home inventory app

Minvy is what I was looking for to track all the items in my home.
Simple clean interface which supports both pictures and video.
Additionally has developers who are actually responsive to customer support and feedback
Best of it's free so worth your time to try it out.

Thank you - we get our inspiration for feedback like yours . We don't charge for Minvy so our motivation is getting reviews like this.

Waste of time

Thought it was going to be a good app to use at first. When adding info to an item it keeps changing the dollar value every time you enter a digit. Entered a picture of my bench grinder and all the associated information. Had trouble with the dollar value but managed to get it entered. Then after I hit save it changed it artificial sweetener, which there is none of in my house. Delete!

This is a free App - the only thing we ask for in return is feedback - we have a dedicated support team and all our support emails are answered within 24 hours - not bad for a free-app. In the time you took to write this review you could have dropped us a line and we would have been able to fix your issues - we don't take our users for granted, we appreciate all feedback positive or negative and we take great pride in fixing issues. Sorry you didn't find the support email link it's in the app in multiple locations and on our website. We know it's not perfect, but the only cost to users is shooting us an email if you hit an issue or require a feature ...

Good app

This app helps to have my kitchen and laundry items on stock. Still need to be a little quicker but so far is good

Amazing and free

I was an early adopter of Minvy and it does one thing well - which is what I want . Makes it simple to create an inventory of household items using photos and videos. The developers are really responsive and are clearly focused on their users - they’ve added features based on my feedback - all this for FREE

Multiple steps required

I’m frustrated by this app.

The bad: you can’t add an item directly from the camera. You have to add an item, and THEN take a picture, or add an item by selecting a photo ALREADY in your photo library

But this app, to be truly simple, should simply allow you to take a picture and add the item to the inventory.

Here’s my experience.
1. Select Add an item
2. Select the camera icon
3. Take the picture
4. Confirm “use this photo”
5. Overlay slides down
6. No item added, no picture of the item. It’s like nothing happened.

Fix this, and it’s a 5 star app. But the thing that should be simplest in the app, isn’t.

another unfinished, buggy app with promise?

As a home inventory tool, Minvy has a lot of features for an ostensibly free app. It even lets you add custom categories and export data. Very promising if it can be fixed to work well. This maybe is the lite, crippled version? Adding a third item gets you stuck at “processing” message and you must close the app and restart to add item. Adding a label takes several tries. Basically, anytime you want to perform an action, you need to close the app and restart to see the result. Perhaps rushed to market unfinished? Too bad Apple leadership team is unfamiliar with concepts like quality and performance standards. This app could be really good if the developer would have tested it and fixed the bugs before release. Possible alternative: just updated to IO 15.4 and maybe Apple did something stupid that now broke a really good app? Also, this app is apparently made only for phone; on ipad the menu titles and other content are partly cut off, regardless of screen orientation.

Delightfully simple yet intuitive

A photo centric inventory app. Can be used out of the box but also seems to be designed to be user configurable when the need arises. Lots of help included in the app for when you need to learn about the features in more detail .

Best inventory app in the market

Great UX and ui, very intuitive easy to use and add books to my books category. Ease of use to create new categories and custom properties for my categories using custom fields
