Works (just) fine, annoying requests for personal info
It mostly does what it’s supposed to do, but it constantly asks you to create an account and to share location data. The dashcam itself already has location data, so I see no reason to give my phone’s location data to another company that’ll just sell it to the highest bidder, but this app *very annoyingly* requests location frequently and doesn’t give you an option to refuse - the only option is “okay,” which takes you into the Settings app. Fortunately you can just go back into the Miofive app and continue using it without actually granting location permission, but it’s still frustrating.

Doesn’t always upload
The camera doesn’t kick to record once you start the car. Often I have to unplug it and replug to get it activated. It also says memory drive is not working

I suspect it's pulling entire videos down to the phone when you access the list of thumbnails. There is certainly room for optimization there.
Changing settings works perhaps 25% of the time. The other 75% it just puts a spinner over the UI. You're better off doing everything you can on the actual device.

Had the dash cam about two months told me it need updating I updated it never worked since won’t power up or anything- rubbish

A good dashcam
You need to link it to a smartphone to access the video. The video is sharp and the audio is clear. Recordings get over-written after a short time - just a few hours, so you need to save them fast. A good value.

Good Device, Intrusive App
The dash cam is very good quality, however the app wants to track you and will nag you for location privileges every time you open it.

Miofive 4K Dashcam is superb
It is a fantastic piece of equipment and I recommend any car driver to get one they will not be sorry it’s a backup for you if you are involved in an incident.
Stopped recording 5 months ago?
The app was working fine, then it stopped recording. Every time I hop in the car it says it’s recording, but when I try to find ANY current videos on the loop or local device, it has nothing. I’ve updated the app, but the firmware won’t update. It downloads to my phone then says “failed “ to upload to device. This is useless this way!

Best money I’ve spent in my life on this Dash cam
Brought my self a dash cam and with in a week involved in a accident . Third party fault they denied the incident till I produced a top quality footage from my Dash cam to there insurance . Got sort quickly so yes worth every penny don’t delay buying one
