Weird but fun!
A great app for children with a some growing to do
But it isn’t without its flaws, however. According to one of the videos on the app’s App Store page, the teeth are supposed to stick out, though they stay inside the mouth at all times in the app, but the game can have both in my opinion. Also, it’s worth noting that the camera zooms in when you want to edit the character’s face, making it block some parts of the interface; I suggest you’d zoom the camera out a little and make it zoom out further if a part of the character is too big, and maybe put the character behind the interface if possible.
Other than that, it’s a great game for all ages to enjoy. And to help the app grow any further, I would like to suggest some new features, if you don’t mind:
- firstly, I can see children recreating their favorite animals in the app (I managed to make a duck and an elephant with the app), so additional parts like tails, wings, manes, horns, antennae and maybe even additional limbs can be quite useful.
- I understand that it’s possible to remove hair from the character, so the same could for other parts like arms, legs, noses and ears.
- The ability to change the eye color (the white part, not the pupil)
- more mouth options like beaks, mandibles, and simple mouths that don’t have lips.
- A feature that replaces the legs with a tail, so you can make snakes and mermaids.
- more backgrounds
- the ability to show less that five characters at a time
- A load/save system so that you can preserve your best creations
- and finally, a starting template or two, or at least the ability to “start with a blank canvas” as opposed to edit randomly generated characters.

Response from developer
Hi Tetsuya Autera (Logan Purple), What a fantastic review this is! Most of the improvement parts can go on my todo list as is, I love how thorough and well formulated you have written the feedback, it all makes a lot of sense. One or 2 of the feedbacks are funny because they were like that before but I sort of 'cleaned it up' (the white in the eyes and the order of where teeth go compared to the mouth hole) but I see and understand that both of these things are not yet finished, and you put up good points. I love the idea of some backgrounds , and yes my own children also mention that the 5 Mipos are a bit much if you just want to play with one outside. Adding and removing body parts/limbs is quite complex in the current setup, so I'm not saying its never going to happen, but not soon. Some parts in the face (not really physics-based) could be turned off though, so i'll see what can be done. the same goes with a tail instead of a leg, but i have been doing some preparing work for things like that. so we'll see. The camera has been some project, i'll play around with the zoom a little and the order of UI/mipo to see if it can be improved, i was sort of between 2 thoughts about it, first i wanted the Mipos to 'bounce' against UI so it wouldn't overlap, but then you can get in cases where there isn't enough space for the Mipo to fit, i'll pay around a bit. The load/save system is actually in there! (not clear enough though obviously) If you start out and change a Mipo to however you want , and then go into the outside place the data is saved. If you then restart the app you can pick your saved Mipo from one of the 5 circles at the start screen. Another feature that would help in preserving the creations and also sharing would be some kind of 'picture making' mode where you can export a high resolution image of the creation. food for thought in any case. Your empty starting template i can also see happen indeed. I was thinking a a bit about 'genetics' and how interesting it could be to make children given 2 different Mipos . Thanks a lot for your time and great review! This morning my eldest wanted to l see the little graph of the app downloads (usually 1 and sometimes 2) and both of us where really enthusiastic to see there was a review, when i saw it was this one, and how well it was written I was thinking someone was joking with me under some false name or something ;) I've looked you up and now know it's real, Thanks a lot Tetsuya Autera by the way, i'm currently mostly working on the next app with the Mipos (it's still a secret but they will go outside and will roll from hills on pedal powered children vehicles, bikes, tricycles, scooters) So making all these changes will not happen very very quickly, but I hope they will eventually. have a good day !
