About
Three good things, a garden that grows with you, and a small act of care for today.
A warm cup of tea. A kind message. Light through the window.
Your companion asks about your day, one good thing at a time. You only need a few words. Recall and record three good things to complete your daily reflection. You can save your progress and come back later.
WRITE A LITTLE. GROW A LITTLE.
Your plant grows on each journaling day. After four journaling days, it is fully grown and a harvest card gathers the memories along the way. Those days do not need to be consecutive. Missing a day never resets your plant or takes away its growth.
ADD A PHOTO TO THE MOMENT
Attach one photo to each day's entry. Replace it, remove it, or open it larger whenever you like. Revisit your words and pictures in your journal and weekly reflections.
A WEEKLY LETTER FROM YOUR COMPANION
Browse Monday-to-Sunday memories with their photos. Enable optional AI letters and your chosen companion will write a letter looking back on your week, based on your journal. Ask for a rewrite whenever you want a fresh reflection. With automatic letters enabled, the app prepares last week’s letter when you open it after the week ends. Even one recorded day is worth revisiting.
TEN COMPANIONS FOR YOUR JOURNAL
Choose from Mitsu, Hina, Yoru, Sui the cat, Kohaku the dog, Nagi, Suzu, Towa the owl, Nono the turtle, and Riku the fox. Everyone can accompany your journal and garden. With your permission, online chat and AI weekly letters are available with all ten companions.
TALK WITH YOUR COMPANION
Talk about your day or how you feel. Online AI follows the conversation to create a reply. Review and edit your own words before adding them to today’s journal.
ONE SMALL ACT OF CARE
Choose from 10 optional activities: four familiar and six new. Five total care days earn a lantern; choose one of nine items every five more. Your lantern and items stay yours. No journal or streak required. Zoom, pan, place or store items and grown plants in three garden sizes.
ENCOURAGEMENT AT YOUR PACE
Set writing and Monday reflection reminders, plus celebrations for 10, 30, 100, and 365 total recorded days. Adjust each in Settings. Writing reminders stay quiet after you write.
MAKE THE GARDEN YOURS
Grow 22 basic plants, including mint and olive. Their seeds and growing stages have lifelike botanical detail. Choose your next seed, explore your collection, name grown plants, and share plant cards. Journal memories appear in shared images only when you select them. Change an unstarted seed three times for free. Botanical Seeds is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited seed changes and three rare plants to grow again and again.
JOURNAL AND PHOTOS SAVED ON YOUR DEVICE
No account registration, ads, behavioral analytics, or tracking. Journaling and basic plant growth work offline. Export as text or JSON, including your care history. JSON also includes photos and saved weekly letters.
AI conversations and letters are optional and require an internet connection and your consent. When used, your conversation and relevant journal text, or the selected week’s journal text and dates, are sent outside your device along with language and companion information to generate replies and letters. Photos and mood scores are not sent. Turn AI off in Settings at any time.
Mitsuba’s server does not store journal text or replies. Anonymous authentication identifiers and usage counts are processed to prevent misuse. See the privacy policy for details.
AI content can contain mistakes, and usage limits apply. Journaling, photos, plant growth, and browsing weekly entries remain available without AI. Seed purchases and restoration require an App Store connection. Retrieving photos stored in iCloud may require an internet connection.
Available in English, Japanese, Korean, and Traditional Chinese.
