Still A Great App
Useful for creating smart playlists on your iPhone. I use it to make playlists from multiple playlists with multiple variables. It replaces some of the functionality that was removed from iTunes years ago. Had it years, still use it regularly, and it’s still getting updates. Highly recommended. I just updated this review August 2026.

Last played date is back !
Wish there was a way to pin “Last played” to the top of the preferences menu.

Used for years
I’ve used this app for years and it’s the main way I filter through my massive library of songs and massive playlists. It’s really great and I would recommend it to anyone with a big library of music. There are a couple things I wish it had, like folders for mixes or a way to only include songs on two playlists (i.e. songs that are on BOTH a dance playlist and a sad playlist) but other than that this is amazing

Great companion for Apple Music (But still has bugs)
9 August 2026. Updated from long ago. The cloud sync doesn't work. I have to duplicate by hand all my mixes between my iPhone and my iPad. The Lossless criterion for selecting music from my library only returns videos. If I choose Include All Songs as my source, the UI bunches up the source text label and the first group modifier (any or all groups). So I select Include Library as my only source. The source list and the display of which source is chosen is the most confusing thing about this app. I have to downgrade my 5 star rating to 3 stars. It's a shame because Mike has put so much effort into this app. But the issues I listed make this app increasingly frustrating to use.

Apart from my complaint it now dors not work at all. Please sort this out
Despite excluding specific terms (eg not containing traccia) these still appear in playlist. I do not know how to contact developer
Update: months later, no response at all. Issue still exists, i suspect those criteria have no impact at all 😫

Siri/Shortcuts Actions
The app is great and I love being able to finally create dynamic filters for playlists (or smart playlists). But I’m disappointed to not see any shortcuts actions built in? I feel like that would help a long way. Siri would be able to start playlists you create then. And shortcuts could trigger them off events.

Been using it for a while now. The strength of the app is its simplicity of use, versatility of function and unbeatable price. It fills all the gaps that I found in Apple Music. Love it. Well done.

I’m wondering if there’s a bug in the “In Library” / “Not in Library” filter? I’m frequently getting songs that are in the library in the “Not in Library” results.
Otherwise, it’s still one of my most used apps on my phone!

I love the addition of the delete group confirmation. I hate that I love it, but accidentally tapping that bit me in the butt so many times…
Curious why the star rating rule was changed from tappable stars? Not a big deal, but I found the previous usage easier. Maybe the app’s coding is easier this way?
I noticed that the “Loved” selection wasn’t replaced by “Favorites” in the scroll picker. Not an issue for me, but might be confusing for newer users.
Lastly, I have to admit that I don’t love the new edit screen. I’m probably the exception as I have tons of playlists in my library and scrolling through them left and right takes MUCH longer.
Overall, love the app and am grateful for the regular updates! I’d be crushed if this app ever went away! I really use it a ton! Thanks!

Maybe this one is just me continually fat fingering my screen, but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tapped the text space when editing a rule and accidentally hit the delete button that deletes the whole group… That REALLY sucks… Also, is there a way to include/exclude music videos? Awesome work! I love this app!

Can't create new list
Every time I tap “Create New Playlist,” the app immediately crashes. I’ve tried creating through the iPad version of the app but the issue persists.
Good AI Features
Wish you could add a specific song or 2 as reference for it, also, wish you could make actual playlists rather than just mixes. Have some massive playlists I want to organize.
I use it every day!
I can’t recommend this app enough, I love and use it daily. Love the ability to have smart playlists that can be randomized by album.

Exceptional App
I’ve been looking for a smart playlist app that does random sets for playlists and this one does it so well, thank you to the developer for making this app.
Really good.
This app does what it says on the tin, and it does it quite well, but I would love a few things to be added.
1. Shortcuts integration. I would love to be able to start playing a mix automatically via the shortcuts app.
2. Skip count. I can filter based on the last skipped date of a song, but not the total skip count.
3. I needed to use the app on my iPad in order to toggle between ‘Match all Groups’ and ‘Match any Group’. The toggle seems to be hidden underneath group 1 on my phone.
I’m looking forward to future updates!
