The perfect app for playing our cheer music

Easy import of mp3 music files from email to the player. Great for use at competitions and practices too.

Disappointing

No landscape view

Difficult to select small sections of music

Apparently cannot reorder sections and new ones appear at the front by default instead of at the end

Deleting within 10 minutes of purchase, $3.99 lost.

Genius!

This app has helped me so much. I can break down sections at a time or run full outs. It saves me so much time scrubbing through music. It was easy to set up. I use it every single practice!

Newest update problem

With the newest update I am unable to rename my mixes. Is there a fix for that?

Cheer Coach’s Dream

This app has been a vital tool for my teams warm up and practice time. It has helped me run everything so efficiently, other teams in the gym have asked me about the music app. I am happy to spread the positive word! Mixplay, all the way!

I had an issue today due to my new phone and panicked (as cheer coaches do), so I emailed Corey and he responded immediately with extremely helpful info.

Love this App!

I have used this app for 3-4 years in prep for game cheering and competition! I love ease of import, ease of use, ability to cut sections to focus on certain sections/skills, and the ability to slow down or speed up music as needed! I use this app at every single practice!! Great for coaches!

The consistency of the play back is great. Yes you cannot mix with this software but you can start your playback from specific sections. My collegiate cheer team uses this app daily. Our dance team uses it consistently.

This is NOT a mixing app!!!

App name is very deceiving! You cannot mix multiple tracks. You can only “edit” one song which is ridiculously stupid considering it’s called Mix play. Don’t waste your money. I will be seeking a refund. Perhaps you should rethink the name and the price.

Yeah for the title I was thinking, "you PLAY mixes, so I'll call it MixPlay." Seemed to sound better than PlayMix, but in hindsight, probably not. Changing it is easier said than done, unfortunately, what with web site URLs, social media handles, etc. I did try to make it clear in the app description that it does not mix music, but I know many people don't read the description. Maybe I should try to add mixing functionality!? Anyway, thanks for the feedback and sorry for the inconvenience. Very misleading. I thought I would be able to mash songs together. Not just cut one.

Helpful!

So easy to import the mix from my iTunes library right on the phone, then just adjust the sections how I like them and it's ready to go! Awesome for practice and you can even slow the sections down for when they are just learning!

Misleading...

Misleading! It says that you can import music from Apple Music that is saved to your device, it doesn't. I contacted the app support and the reply was that the app was written before the Apple Music subscription was available. I'm surprised that the developer din't update the info. when this service started. I was not able to import anything from email ether. Waste of money

A little glitchy

I coach special needs cheer and a middle school team. This app is great for practice but don't use it for your music in competition. The app froze and we ended up with a big deduction for overtime. Also the music must be in MP3 format to upload. One of my mixes was in wav and it wouldn't show me the mix play icon when I tried to add it. Also when I added 2 sections it put them out of order. It is not alphabetical or chronological. The tempo adjust is a great idea except that it is set to 100% to begin with so you can only slow music or the 8 count track, not speed them up. The app is a great concept and think it will be a great tool if all the bugs are fixed. For now I'm giving it 2 stars and will give more if they fix the glitches.

Needs update!

This app cannot pull music from your iTunes, could be great if that was an option! Waste for me!

Headache!

Tried to use my iTunes music but couldn't find a way. Had import by email or URL only. Gave me a headache trying to figure it out. Ended up deleting app. A Waste!
