Why are ‘26 live 145 cards not counted as core players?

This is a great mobile game when it comes to the collecting and team building aspect but the gameplay is lackluster and gimmicky and the free-to-play grinding can feel unoptimized and like a part time job. I was really excited about some new players added to the ‘26 live series set but after getting my first one, I saw that I would lose my all core players team deck boost even though all of my players are core Yankees? Why would the developers do this? I am assuming this is a bug/glitch in the game? I really want to finally use a 145ovr ‘26 live Yankees A. Chivilli card but if I use him I have to lose my core boost and it makes my team worse even though they are all Yankees…
