App would be great if I could use Bluetooth pods

Fantastic app for hearing impaired people

I am enjoying using your app with earphones, but I can’t hear loudly. I am born deaf and volume is very low even if I keep to maximum. I can hear sound louder like music system or vehicles sound. But the conversation with near and dear, people and friends, I can’t hear clearly. Can you please update with more volume or creating equaliser so that i can increase the volume to hear the conversation comfortably and smoother. Or any settings required in iPhone? If I buy AirPods which is wireless, will it works. Even live listen is also very low. I hv tried.

Fantastic!

I am 76 years old and have been difficulty hearing speech clearly, particularly when watching films and drama on TV. I downloaded this app and tried it out on a series I have been having particular trouble following. To my great joy, the effect has been fantastic. Virtually crystal-clear diction.

I have an old phone that I plan to download the app to and reserve solely for running the app. So far I have used ear buds but may invest in a good set of headphones for the sake of comfort.

My hearing is not at the stage where I need support in most other setting so I am hoping that I get some time out of this solution before I need to go the whole hog and get a more formal hearing aid.

Useful with wires.

Does a decent job but you do need wired headphones and most phones don’t use these anymore. A real shame as it could be really useful to me when I don’t take my hearing aids out.

No Bluetooth support

It is really a shame that this is even available on the apple App Store now that almost all apple products have moved away from wired earphone products and gone Bluetooth.

If the developers would simply make the leap with this app and get it Bluetooth compatible, I could see this really helping a LOT of elderly and those with hearing loss issues. But until then, I cannot in good conscience recommend this to anyone that has stepped out of 2010 and into the present.

Crashes

Worked well until past 2 updates. Crashes immediately upon opening.

No Bluetooth support.

I ve worn hearing aids for 20 years.
Looking for an app to help while my hearing aids go away to be repaired.
Sadly this app did not support my Bluetooth headset

Doesn’t recognize Bluetooth headphones on iPhone 8+

Only works with my wired headphones so I can’t place my phone with its microphone at any distance from myself. This results in any noise I make being incredibly loud and what I want to hear I can’t get close enough to.
How am I supposed to hear a lecture when I can’t leave my phone near the person speaking without sitting in their lap?
Useless app.

Works great! 6s

I use this when I get a ear infection and my ears swells shut. I can actually hear again till my ears heal themselves. Very grateful. Thank you.

I can finally hear tv!

Lost a lot of my hearing after cancer treatment and cheap hearing amplifiers grab too much back ground noise or go thru batteries or need recharging all the time. Hooked up my headphones and voila! I can hear,!! There is not a lot of background noise (some but not like the in ear ones) I just can’t say enough good things about this app!!! Thank you for improving my life!

Works great

Solved my difficulties in hearing.

Can’t get it to work

Flashes on & quits right away. iPhone 6.

Looks like it could be good ...

... but doesn't work with AirPod / AirPod Pro headphones which is just daft.

I know it's a free app but still I'd suggest finding an alternative.

Crashes

Can’t even get it to run.

Worthless without Bluetooth support

iPhones no longer have wired headphones

Won’t open

I hope this is a to down load and I’d use app. You have to authorise payment prior to download. Then the app doesn’t open when downloaded !!
A really bad app

Amplifier App is Great when in quiet place/theater • I would’ve given it 5 stars EXCEPT ...

Everything about this listening amplifier is Fabulous .(when in a quiet room/place/theater)
It has a range of appx 30feet with well modulated tonal clarity • • EXCEPT there is NO AMBIENT BACKGROUND NOISE CANCELLATION Built In or Available • • I am 74 yrs old, slowly grown very deaf over the last 10-15 yrs due to too many more years of Diabetes even under fairly good control • • The way the App works is, it hijacks the microphone and turns your mobile phone into an amplifier when you plug in some “really good quality” ear buds or ear phones • • I would have given this App 5 stars except for its inability to control the intensity of the background noise coming in • everything overlapping at the same rate (background/foreground/whatever) and at the same time,• it doesn’t matter where you are in a public place or a crowd it captures everything all at once and amplifies it to the point that it becomes unpleasant • still, it’s great for quiet places especially in the movies where the Hearing Devices loaned out to the guests are worse than inadequate for even those with mild hearing loss ...
