New in version 3.6 Playback position, rebuilt • Playback position has been rebuilt: it stops when playback pauses or stalls and keeps the right speed for podcasts and audiobooks – in the app, on the Lock Screen, in CarPlay, on Apple Watch and on Apple TV. Connections that tell you what's wrong • Connection errors now name the cause and the next step. A guided check helps you along, Cancel is always within reach, and switching profiles works even in the middle of a connection attempt. • Remote access no longer cancels its own connection attempt and falls back to your direct connection automatically. Setup now tells you up front when remote access over cellular needs a Home Assistant Cloud subscription, and the error names your alternatives. • Your iPhone shows up as a player again right after connecting, and the app is ready sooner after launch. New • Two new languages: Italian and Polish – in the app, on Apple Watch and in the widgets. • The timed sleep timer now runs on the server (Music Assistant 2.10 or later): it also stops network speakers while your iPhone is locked. 15, 30 and 60 minutes stay free; custom duration, "end of track" and "end of queue" are part of Unlimited from this version on. Both end modes work in the app as before. • Grid density: Comfortable, Standard or Dense for Home, Library and Favorites – on iPhone and iPad. Comfortable and Dense with Unlimited. • Two new themes: Green and Psychedelic (Unlimited). • Artist pages get "Play all" and "Queue all" – on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. • The heart in Now Playing and on player cards asks what you mean: song, album or artist. • "Show in Music Assistant": on a direct connection, jump from an album, artist or playlist straight into your server's web interface. • CarPlay: favorites grouped by type, large artist and album lists with an A–Z entry, podcast episodes newest first with episode number and date. Improved and fixed • The app no longer triggers automatic metadata refreshes on your server – your library entries stay as they are. • Customize Home: hidden sections now reliably stay hidden. If your server account lacks the rights for that, the app tells you as soon as you open the editor. • Podcasts: "Newest first" really shows the newest episode; episode numbers and titles stay as your provider has them. • Radio: title and artist are shown separately in Now Playing. • Sheets have a grabber instead of an X; the player overview no longer refreshes by accident. • iPad: with two windows open, both stay up to date. • Large text sizes: themes and app icons stay readable; artist images line up cleanly. • Support now runs through the support page and GitHub.
