Hopeful but disappointing
Well thought out app with great videos. Informative on technique but lacks more detail and insight for therapists in search of more information. Not worth $30. Wish I didn’t purchase.

Waste of money. Nonstandard techniques with limited / no discussions of purpose.

Thanks for sharing your opinion on the app. Just to clarify, we took great pains to choose techniques that were used in published studies (only a few are not from the literature). We provide references for every technique and even suggestions for conditions (pathologies) that each technique could be used for. There are evidence summaries for each condition that highlight the current state of the evidence for manual therapy for treating that condition. We've recently updated the apps and have added more features utilizing current best evidence. We hope you will give the apps another chance.

Cette app pourrait être utile pour un étudiant en début de formation, mais pas pour un professionnel.
Pour une app aussi chère je m'attendais a beaucoup mieux que juste trois vidéos de thrust que l'ont peut trouver sur le web.

Implemented Day 1
I am a physical therapist who is well versed in manual therapy but who has had little practice on the upper extremity outside the shoulder. Recently began working in a clinic with certified hand therapists and bought this app to improve my elbow/wrist/hand manual therapy skills. Learned new techniques for these regions and literally implemented them the next day with success. Well presented logical flow of information from technique description to video to evidence for many techniques. Well worth the money for clinicians who practice or want to begin practicing manual therapy.

Great Application for Experianced and New Clinicians
Excellent program that details a wide variety of evidence based techniques including thrust and non thrust manual treatments. The format is well designed and user friendly. Video quality is impeccable with multiple angles detailing patient and clinician positioning. Detailed explanations of techniques are narrated in the video as well as written making access appropriate at almost anytime. This is the next generation of education and clinical tools.

This is an indispensable app for both clinician and student that far exceeded my expectations. It is comprehensive (going so far as to include an excellent segment on the Historical Overview of Manipulative Therapy). It is user-friendly, with hi-resolution videos shot from various vantage points with still images of hand placements and excellent audio overlay. The content is well-organized and easy to access for the clinician and student alike. The ability to link to (and e-mail) abstracts of the best-available, current, and supporting evidence is a great feature.
This app is a MUST-HAVE for clinicians and students!!! Apps like this will make over-priced textbooks obsolete-I will be including this as a strongly recommended resource for students-it's a BARGAIN!! This app is, after all, Clinically Relevant.

Nothing else like this for manual therapy
This app is a one-stop shop for all upper extremity manual therapy interventions. The associated videos are clear and really do a good job demonstrating each technique. The navigation is a little less than intuitive initially, but once I became accustomed to it, it was no problem. The supporting evidence is included for each region, and you can email PubMed links right from the app, which is awesome. I'd like to see there eventually be evidence in support of specific techniques where it's available. Overall, this app rocks and I will be using it in the clinic and the classroom. Nice job!

For anyone having difficulty loading or opening this app after purchasing: please keep in mind this is a large app due to all the high quality videos. Because of this, you can’t download the app to your device over a 3G network. You must use a wifi connection or simply download it directly to iTunes and sync your device. Even over wifi it may take 10-15 minutes to download, depending on your internet speed. However, after the initial download, all the videos/content will be on your device and will be extremely quick and responsive to run and control.
If after purchasing you’re still having trouble, simply delete the app from your device and re-download it. As long as you “purchase” it the second time under the same account you originally bought the app with, you won’t be charged again.

Awesome App
This is a great app that is relevant to the busy clinician in the everyday practice. Good descriptive properties and the videos help the clinician on how to properly perform the test. I have used other apps by this vendor and they perform just as well. My only complaint is that they did not come out sooner. I hope you enjoy this app as it is well worth the money

Finally a resource that I can use everyday on the fly!!
OK, this app rocks! I can't tell you how many times I've been seeing patients and I want to perform a specific manual therapy technique, but I kind-of forgot how to do it. So now I can just excuse myself to the restroom, pull out my iphone, read the description and even watch a quick video. it's genius! It's with me all the time, it's quick, well organized, and since the videos are not web-bases, I can do this anywhere! As someone else mentioned, this definitely is a clinical practice game changer and easily worth the $. I so wish that I had this has a student.... and I can't wait to check out the spine and LE ones too!

Best $ you'll spend on reference material
Don't spend your $ on books or CDs - get this app to have with you wherever you go. It's got the essentials for manual therapy techniques with very high quality video clips and multiple angles so you can see precisely what you need to do to perform the techniques properly. This will greatly improve the learning curve for those interested in either learning manual therapy skills for the first time or experienced clinicians looking to hone their talents and improve their effectiveness in the clinic. Can't wait for future apps from CR tech!!

Comprehensive, outstanding app!
This is a comprehensive application showing a wide variety of manual therapy techniques, with accompanying high quality video. The directions are complete and clear and the video clips (internal to the app and not requiring internet connection to view) are shown at multiple angles for clarity. This is a great resource for teaching and learning at all levels, from the basic student to the advanced clinician. The setup, application, and directions reveal a very high level of precision and skill. You will pay a lot more for videos and books about manipulative therapy, but none are of better quality or done more comprehensively than this.
Great job from a company with a reputation for putting out quality applications and updating them frequently in response to user feedback.
Looking forward to the next app from them and for quality updates to this one!

Great clinical tool
Great, comprehensive app that would be helpful for all levels of clinicians. Instructions are well written and easy to replicate. Video quality is outstanding. Interface is easy to navigate making use easy and intuitive. Worth the price for anybody from students to experienced clinicians.
Terrific clinical app for anyone who uses manual therapy techniques
Clinically Relevant Technologies has done a terrific job assembling an app with a comprehensive library of manual therapy techniques for the upper exetremity. The instructions are very precise, and the evidence summaries are a very useful reminder of the "why", "when", and for "who". The best aspect of the app in my opinion though is the "how", which is provided by the high resolution videos with voice overlay, which makes it easy to replicate the specific hand positions and directions of movement. There is some clunkiness in the user interface, but this is simply due to early stage development and I suspect future revisions will address this. The app does take some time to download due to the high resolution vids (so be sure to download via wifi on your iPad or via iTunes on your computer and then sync...don't use 3G connection), but this is well worth it. The "raw materials" of the app (instructions, videos, research evidence, etc.) are absolutely terrific, and I can use "out of the box" without a hitch. These types of clinical apps from Clinically Relevant Technologies are real game changers for clinicians and educators alike. Great work!

It has a favorites hot button that allows you to save techniques for even quicker reference. If you find this app useful, you will also enjoy the Clinical Orthopedic Exam (CORE) app by the same creators. I truly believe that these apps have the potential to cause a pendulum shift within the profession of physical therapy allowing clinicians to have access to the latest research at their fingertips where ever they are. Don't be alarmed by the price. This app is like buying a text book, only its cheaper than a text book and will be updated frequently without having to by a "second addition". Plus you can put it on your iphone, ipad, droid, or even an ipod touch. The best way to download this app is on-line or with a strong wifi signal. It takes between 5-15 minutes to download. I hope you find this app as useful as I have!
