Absolute garbage.
I’ve tried this application twice in successive years. The app never recognizes my ISY system (tried 2 different units), support comes of as responsive but the reality is it’s a standard response with useless information.

Great app. Stable. I manage a ton of lights, motion sensors, moisture sensors and switches. Never fails.
Essential for ISY use
Great app and really the only one that is seamless with ISY. Needs a widget for IOS but the app evolves so I’m sure they will get there. Set up simple but if trouble support turnaround is decent. Best for remote control of home and Alexa/Google integration.

Fantastic new version
As a long time ISY user, I’m like most and have explored many tools to control the environment. I used the previous MobiLinc apps and they served the purpose but this new update has not only simplified the user interface but expanded the options and access to things that used to require access to the Admin Console directly. It’s a fantastic update well worth the subscription for any of us who have spent hours making the ISY automate our homes.

Looks nice but slow
I have both MobiLinc hd and this app. The gain in the move to this app isn’t that great. I bought all the ad ons for this app and it’s ok. I really don’t think I gained anything from HD other than interface colors. My biggest complaint is speed with this app. I’m talking about on my home network. HD is instantaneous where this app is slow to refresh the status and slower to react than HD. I even bought a subscription because I was told that saving statuses on their server would speed things up. Nope. It is rare that I use this app away from home. It works with port forwarding just like HD does but even in this scenario HD is faster. I have a mesh network at my house that puts most to shame so that is not an issue. My impetus to write this review was just using the app 10 feet from a network node and I switched to HD after tiring waiting for the little dots to refresh the status of a switch.

Best ISY 994i App
Long time user of other MobiLinc apps (Orchestrated MobiLinc and MobiLinc HD) for control of my ISY 994i controller. The cloud performance of MobiLinc X is excellent compared to anything I’ve tried including direct connections. The support is quite amazing and was able to assist in some advanced Alexa configurations. The developer is also adding new functionality making the app even better!

Fantastic app !
I have a large scale Insteon application with approximately 100 devices. The interface is beautiful, app works smoothly with almost no issues. This is hands down the best app to control an Insteon setup. Works perfectly with Alexa as well. Support is second to none as well !
Great for home automation
Been using mobiLinc for quite a while. Has been a very stable dependable platform. Mostly control lights and AC with scenes, but the recently used tab and favorites make it easy to get to the devices I use most. It works great with alexa so I hardly open the app. Any time I have ever had a problem Wes gets back to me almost immediately. X is a very polished update over pro

Nice interface but lacks flexibility
I’ve been using MobiLinc HD with only zwave devices and ISY994 for about two years and although it’s quite dated I like the flexibility in the app. In this app I can see and control every device, program on my zwave network regardless of the manufacturer of the device. I had big hopes for the “X” version to give a new user experience and for a few limited devices it sure did. For example thermostat function is great and dimmers control, love that. The negative part is that I cannot find a way to see my door sensors. My garage door control also shows up as a door lock and no way to edit this or change icon. I like to shop around for specific zwave devices and ISY994 does a great job of integrating those but this app doesn’t..unless I miss something!? In the HD app I have set notifications when doors open and close but since this “X” app will not even display any of my door sensors I have no clue how to set status change notifications. I could go on but as I see it it’s not worth the cost yet for this app service as I see it’s far from ready to integrate fully with ISY994 regardless of tier level. Happy that I was refunded the cost for the app. Will stick to what I have for now and monitor the development of this one. Great start anyway in integrating with so many other platforms but now the UI needs some TLC. Thanks!

Downgrade to Subscription?
What am I missing? Seems just like a crappier app but with a subscription requirement. What are the actual enhancements that would justify such a thing? I’m okay with the subscription model in principle bit I expect value in return. Who is falling for this? Can someone explain why this is a better user experience? I’m not seeing any power or anything except basic usability.

MobiLinc X is very user friendly & comprehensive app, interfaces well with z-wave devices. The app developer is very responsive should a question arise. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed..

Looks Clean and Works just As Clean
Been a long time user of MobiLinc Pro. Decided to try the MobiLinc X but at first a looked a little simple and plain so I wasn’t sure if I was losing functionality from the Pro version. Turns out I’m not and the Alexa integration is super fast. When I tell her to turn on my lights she responds very quickly and my lights go on really fast.
Dev is great too. Answers emails all the time and is quick to help you out.

I love that MobiLinc has within the app the ability to suggest new features and the user base votes on what they want.
And MobiLinc actually does them!
They just added the option to take and upload pictures of your various rooms so you can assign them to your different rooms. This is much more helpful than previous versions where each room was the same picture. Keep up the great work Wes!

Best MobiLinc ever!
I have been a Mobilinc user for many years and absolutely love MobiLinc X! It provides for an easy interface between the ISY device and any other devices. Adding new devices is extremely simple and programming them to act to your specifications is a snap, now. Well done!
Currently less configurable than older versions
More aesthetically pleasing than older Mobilinc versions, quicker controller response, but apparently not currently as configurable. For instance, how do I place Programs in specific rooms? How do I get lawn sprinkler programs to show under Irrigation? How do I change icons for a program that activates my alarm? The old version allowed configuration over all of these elements. I have a very useable Dashboard in the old version, although it looks quite dated. I’ll need to stick with the old version for now. Be sure to test that the new version works for your situation. I would’ve tested more thoroughly if I was allowed to re-test v.X after it’s latest update. We need to be able to test more than on the first initial release from over a year ago if features have been added and bugs have been fixed. Thank you to Apple and the developer for refunding my purchase when I discovered the app wouldn’t currently be suitable for my needs. I am sure the developer will update the app to address some of my concerns. I hope to be able to test it again in the future and possibly re-purchase it if it works for my use case scenarios.

I responded to your support email already but for other's reading about these concerns: I took a different direction with MobiLinc X to solve the start-up time and eliminate the need to sync with the ISY every time you start MobiLinc X plus real-time settings sync between all your mobile devices. I also focused on the most common use-cases and products for those use-cases. You can configure the Home Tab under Settings->Current Account->ISY to turn off Recently Used for example if you don't find that section useful. You can tag any device, scene, or program as a favorite. However, yes, currently the order is fixed A-Z. I'm working on a drag and drop solution to allow for re-ordering of favorites. Icons are currently fixed. Offering different icons is on my to-do list. Changing categories or assigning programs/devices/scenes to a category or room wasn't supported in any older version of MobiLinc. I'm working on a category assignment option for items to move around to the different category cards. This would be a new feature, not something that was supported before in a previous app. If you have any questions, please feel free to respond to my support email or email directly at support@mobilinc.com

I’ve been a loyal fan and MobiLinc user for several years now. One thing that I have noticed is that the app developer is constantly making improvements to better the program. The new MobiLinc X app has a cleaner and more modern look and feel with simple controls that anyone can use. MobiLinc X works seamlessly with Alexa and voice control. Plus it’s really comforting to know that any questions or comments about using MobiLinc X will quickly be answered by the developer.
