Phenomenal App for beginner cross stitch patterns

I originally purchased this app just to have fun with it then I wanted to create my own images, but I didn’t know how so with some playing around in the app which takes a little bit of a learning curve, I finally got the hang of it. Now I am creating cross stitch patterns for all my guest at my wedding with the help of this app. The only thing I wish there was more of was colors for DMC, but otherwise solid app and thank you to the creator.

Awful

I wanted to convert some patterns to use in cross stitch saga and have winstitch and like it. This is terrible. It won’t zoom in anywhere but the first block. They need new app designers because this should be possible not to mention needing more overall. I enjoy using a stylus over a mouse and thus I am still hunting.

Hi. Its taken some time before this message reached us, but you don't appear to have emailed us about any issues. Sorry to learn you had trouble. Hopefully one of the many updates since September is working better for you, as we havent had other reports about it. Feel free to email us - happy to discuss.

Awesome Markup App!

I bought MobiStitch and MacStitch together. If I purchase a pattern instead of designing it, I still enter it manually into MacStitch, as it makes it easy to change, switch fabrics and thread counts, etc. I save those files in iCloud and it’s one click to open them in MobiStitch, and begin the markup process as I sew.

The screen is clear, easy to navigate, and the developer is quick to respond with questions or requests. Very happy customer!

Loved this until it started glitching

won’t let me zoom out at all

Unable to use

I’ve downloaded Mobistitch on my iPad mini. When I try to open it, it just goes to my iPad home page. I’m running safari and using version 12.5.7.

Love it!

This is the App that I’ve been waiting for! On my iPad Pro it works so well. Amazing amount of features and still very quick.
Worth spending a few hours familiarising yourself with the icons etc..

HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!

HORRIBLE APP!!!
THIS IS THE WORST CROSS STITCH DESIGNER I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH. SINCE IT WAS FROM THE MAKERS OF WINSTITCH/MACSTITCH I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE AT LEAST DECENT, BUT IT’S BARELY USEABLE. I HONESTY CANNOT THINK OF ONE POSITIVE THING TO SAY ABOUT IT. TO TOP IT ALL OFF, THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND. IF YOU CAN’T MAKE A PRODUCT YOU CAN STAND BY, THEN DO US ALL A FAVOR AND REMOVE THIS ABOMINATION ROM THE APP STORE

ZERO STARS

Hi. Very sorry to hear you didn't like the app. It doesn't have the features of WinStitch/MacStitch, mostly because of the limitations of the iPad, and is intended more an 'add-on' to those apps, or an 'ideas doodler' than an app for the professional designer. But we pride ourselves on support. You don't appear to have contacted us for help or feature requests. (note: Ursa don't have the power to issue refunds - we don't even get to know who buys the app, it's all done by Apple)

Excellent!!

Brilliant customer service from the developer - very patiently and promptly dealt with all of my questions. App does everything you need it to and requested changes were applied exceptionally quickly!

Its Ok but could be great!

Some updates needed:
Ability to print PDFS, images and share those
Ability to save file to dropbox so we can get it to the pc without itunes which is such a headache

Functionality:
Ability to select and move the selection, not have to save it somewhere else and then erase it, then paste it to the new spot when it could just be moved
Ability to rotate the selection from vertical to horizontal

Get rid of the view selection. On the ipad you can pinch and zoom and move around with your fingers. No need to select the area you want to work on, on the viewer. Its very cumbersome to use and takes away a big portion of your working area.

This app could be do great as a stand alone design tool if a few changes were made.

Pretty good

Easy to create designs but pallets is buggy both in app and when exporting the pdf.

Doesn’t work

As much as I wanted to like this app, I can’t. Nothing works, everything is too slow and buggy to do anything with. Tried to use the photo feature and it did absolutely nothing, it froze up and refused to do anything more. Should have listened to the other review. This was such a waste of 12.99. Absolutely do not waste your money on this garbage.

Utter rubbish

I would like a refund please as this is garbage. Certainly not clear or easy to understand. Can’t even find “how to” videos online to help. No instructions and just not fit for purpose. Also you can’t even easily send this review without a nickname which seems everything you enter is taken.

Waste of energy and money

I bought this app to compliment my Macstitch software, so I could edit my charts while away from the laptop, and take advantage of using my Apple Pencil. Firstly, it doesn’t work with a cloud so you need to go old school and do a file transfer using cables from iPad to the Mac (a bit long but ok I was willing). After all that effort, the app didn’t recognise my files, which was more than frustrating. So I thought, ok I’ll use the app directly to make charts. As I like to make round charts I need a square format, for some reason it will only set the width and does an automatic height giving a rectangular canvas. Suffice to say, this app does NOT meet any of my needs. At £10.99 I’d expect more functionality and frankly a better standard. Doesn’t come close to the brilliance of Macstitch. Do better.

Unusably Buggy

I should have paid attention to the reviews. This program is unusably buggy. I can’t get anything done. What a colossal waste of money. I love winstitch and was excited to have something to use on the go with a compatible file type. Unfortunately this program is not it. I’ll go back to sketching in other apps and manually transferring.

Resize option?

Great app but please make it so we can change the size of the design. For example being able to adjust width and height without jeopardising the pattern.

Can be frustrating when you’ve finished designing a pattern and yhere is too much blank space around but removing white space cuts off too close to the design. Would prefer to do it manually

App

It’s fantastic I love it

Rubbish

Hi could you please put money back into my account please as I don’t understand how to play it

DO NOT PURCHASE

I just bought this app and it is constantly freezing, won’t save work

Okay, but needs work. Very glitchy.

EDIT: This app needs serious help! Several times, I’ve started new designs, named them, saved them, made lots of progress, saving as I go. THEN, the next time I open the app the file is completely gone!!! Why?!? It’s infuriating!

I’ve had MacStitch for a few years, and hoped this would work as well, or better. However, it’s very glitchy. The app just deleted a section of a design that I didn’t want to delete! When using the selection tool, the menu comes up asking if I want to copy, erase, flip, etc. When I choose ‘Erase’ the area I selected isn’t affected at all. However, a random area nearby is deleted. It happens every time I try it. It’s also annoying that although I can use the ‘Cloth’ option to erase/delete whole stitches in a rectangular selection in one step, I have to delete back stitches one square at a time. It’s tedious. Being able to rotate the canvas would be very useful.

Response from developer

HI. Sorry to hear about this. We have addressed the deletion of incorrect area (this happened after scrolling the image) , and added a new option to erase backstitch from a selected area. These fixes will be in V1.3, currently in the Apple review pipeline.

Does not function with uploading images

I was hoping to use this in tandem with procreate in turning my line drawings into cross stitch patterns. The uploads never work. All you receive is a blank screen. Honestly it was faster using grid paper with out this function working.

Response from developer

Hi. We are confident that uploading bitmaps /photos does work. Perhaps the line drawings you are making with procreate are a vector style image.
