ModelLens is an offline 3D model viewer for iPhone and iPad. Open CAD parts, 3D-print meshes and scan point clouds the moment they arrive — no account, no upload, no network. WHY MODELLENS • 100% offline and private — no sign-in, no servers, no analytics, no tracking • Open models straight from Messages, Mail, WeChat, cloud drives or the Files app • Built for real-world sizes: smoothly loads 590k-triangle meshes and 500k-point clouds (performance varies by device) FORMATS • STL (ASCII & binary) — 3D printing meshes • STEP / STP — B-rep CAD geometry with adaptive tessellation and true topology edges (Open CASCADE kernel) • OBJ — meshes with materials • PLY — meshes and point clouds, including vertex colors FOUR RENDER MODES • Shaded — smooth solid surfaces • Wireframe — see the underlying structure • Shaded + Edges — surfaces with crisp feature edges: topological edges for CAD, triangle edges for meshes • X-Ray — translucent look-through COLORS THAT FIT YOU Seven macaron palettes (mint, matcha, peach, lemon, taro, sky, coral) drive both the interface and the 3D canvas, in light and dark mode. The default model material follows your theme. MODEL INSIGHT Live statistics: triangle and vertex counts, point counts, bounding-box dimensions, and format detection. BUILT ON OPEN SOURCE STEP support is powered by Open CASCADE (LGPL-2.1). License details are available in the app's About screen. ModelLens does not collect or transmit any data. What you open stays on your device.
