The state of the current Mod Bee
The Modesto Bee has lost relevance except for the scant coverage it gives locally. Many articles regarding “news” are pulled from other news services that posted a day or days ago. All too often lately we get news from Fresno, Sacramento, and other McClatchy areas that I could care less about. I ONLY subscribe currently to keep up with what I deed necessary local news coverage, I do love the articles regarding new businesses and local food.

Where’s the local news?
More than half of the news articles are from/about Fresno or Sacramento issues that have absolutely no relevance to Modesto and its surrounding cities. Some days there might be 2 local stories and the rest is filler. For the price and being that it’s electronic why is that the case?

Not much to it
If you aren’t interested in where to find restaurant cockroaches, there’s not much more to it. And the app often doesn’t recognize me as a paid subscriber so I have to go through the hassle of re-logging in
