About

Modulo GPS gives you the number you need before your next shot: live distances to the front, middle and back of the green, from wherever you are standing. Courses are sorted by how close they are, so the one you are on is usually first. Two taps and you are playing. WHAT YOU GET Distances. Front, middle and back of every green, plus hole number, par, stroke index and length, in metres or yards. A compass pointer to the green when you cannot see it. Points of interest. Bunkers, water and lay-up markers with real distances, from surveyed course data. Scoring. Turn it on at setup and enter each hole as you play. Individual, betterball and alliance games, plus Foursomes and American Scramble. WHS handicaps worked out from your index and the tee you are playing, with up to four players each on their own tee. A full scorecard, a round summary and a history of every round you have saved. Automatic hole tracking, in beta. Switch it on and the round screen moves to the next hole once you have walked there. It is off by default, and moving between holes by hand always works. Apple Watch. A standalone app with its own course list and GPS. Enter your score on the watch and it appears on your phone. FREE AND PRO Distances, the green compass, Individual Stableford and Individual Medal are free. Points of interest, the other game formats and extra favourites are part of Modulo Pro, a one-off purchase rather than a subscription.

What's New in Modulo GPS

Your round is never lost, and every player is scored from their own card. Once you start a round, Modulo keeps it for you. Close the app, run out of battery, or come back later and your round will still be on the course list, ready to continue from where you left off. When you’re done, you can save it, leave it for later, or discard it. Men’s and women’s cards are now scored separately. When you add a player, choose the card they’re playing from and their handicap is calculated using that card’s course rating and slope for the tee they’re actually playing. Par and stroke index follow the same card, so mixed groups are scored correctly. If a club hasn’t published a rating for a tee, Modulo tells you instead of silently substituting another card. On Apple Watch, your round now runs as a golf workout. Raise your wrist and you’re straight back to the hole you’re playing, while your walk contributes to your Activity rings.
