Moed brings the Jewish day together in one clean, private app that works fully offline: the halachic times you live by, the dates you keep, and an accurate compass to Jerusalem.
YAHRZEITS AND YOUR OWN DATES
• A yahrzeit (azkara), a Hebrew birthday, an anniversary — saved once and worked out afresh every year, including the two months of Adar in a leap year and months that lose a day.
• Reminders that come on the eve as well as on the day itself, because a Hebrew day begins at nightfall and that is when the memorial candle is lit. Add early reminders too — a week or a month ahead.
• Kept on your device alone, with a plain-text backup you keep wherever you like. Three dates are free.
ZMANIM
• Full halachic zmanim for your exact location — alot hashachar, sunrise, sof zman Shema (Magen Avraham & GRA), chatzot, mincha, plag, sunset and tzeis hakochavim.
• Your minhag: the tzeis shita (Geonim 8.5°, 16.1° or Rabbeinu Tam) and a manual offset to match your local luach.
CANDLE LIGHTING, SHABBAT & HOLIDAYS
• Candle lighting on your minhag (18 / 20 / 30 / 40 minutes before sunset), havdalah, and the end of Shabbat and Yom Tov.
• When each fast begins and ends, on the shita you choose.
• The whole year's holidays — every festival and every fast, Hebrew and Gregorian dates side by side, as a list or a month calendar. Correct for Israel and for the diaspora.
COMPASS TO JERUSALEM
• An accurate compass to the Temple Mount, corrected to true north with a built-in geomagnetic model — fully offline.
REMINDERS, ON YOUR TERMS
• Optional reminders for candle lighting, havdalah, fasts and any zman you choose. Moed tells you the time — it never keeps score of your observance.
WIDGETS (PREMIUM)
• The next zman and its countdown on your Home Screen and Lock Screen.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Everything is computed on your iPhone. Your location never leaves it. No account, no tracking, no ads.
Moed is free. Premium adds unlimited personal dates, an AR camera compass, widgets and multiple saved locations — as a monthly or yearly subscription, a one-time lifetime unlock, or a 7, 14 or 30-day pass that does not renew.
