About
Moksha Gate is the entry scanner used by volunteers at the gates of Moksha, the intercollege festival of Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), New Delhi.
Every registered student gets a QR pass by email. At the gate, a volunteer scans it and the app shows, in about a second:
• GREEN – a genuine pass. The app shows the student's name, college, roll number and the face photo from their verified college ID card. The volunteer compares the face and the physical ID card, then taps Admit.
• RED – do not admit. The app says why: the pass was already used (with the gate and time), it is fake or edited, it has been cancelled, or it is not valid today.
Built for a busy gate:
• Works offline. The pass list is downloaded to the phone before the gates open, and every pass is checked against Moksha's digital signature on the phone itself.
• One pass, one entry. Gates share entries with each other whenever they are online, so a pass used at one gate shows red at the others.
• Big, clear screens and buttons that work in sunlight and crowds.
• Set up in one scan. The gate lead shows a setup code from the admin page; scanning it connects the phone. There is nothing to type.
• Settings, the fest day and the entry log are protected by the gate lead's PIN.
Moksha Gate is for festival volunteers and organisers. Attendees do not need this app; they only need the QR pass sent to their email.
