The app does not stay connected to the dash cam for more than 30 seconds to download anything. Do not waste your money! Buy another product!!

Once downloaded I don’t need them to be stuck on the as card forever. The Toyota dealer that installed this into my car mounted it where I cannot get to the as card. I would rather not have the card get filled up with old videos that are no longer needed. Please for the love of god let me delete the videos

Poor HD video
Missed the license plate of a hit and run at a speed of 40mph or less. The whole point of the camera front and rear was to protect myself against moments like this. Disappointing and will not purchase again.
Useless since app update.
My Momento was great at first, but since it needed to do an update the dash cam won’t respond. I had to get it completely replaced & they send me another one that won’t even turn on.

App refuses to connect to the device
Constantly fighting connection between the app on the phone and the device. When it works, it works well, unfortunately that's about 25% of the time.

Some functionality
Dashcam system consistently drains my battery. After leaving car at airport for a week, completely drained my battery, ruined it.
Connecting camera WiFi to phone was clunky. WiFi name of camera should be printed on card issued with camera. User had to figure way too much on own. Much room for improvement.

Nothing but problems
Video quality is ok, everything else is really bad. The WiFi works sometimes and the app rarely works. Also the camera often comes on with just a black screen and doesn’t record anything. This is my second camera too. First one took months dealing with their “support” to get it replaced. So bad.

Save your money
Whenever im finally able to connect to my camera on the app the app will crash. I’ve been trying to access my gallery as I need to pull up a driving event but the app crashes everytime even tho everything is up to date. Overall I haven’t had a good experience with this dashcam and app since I got it a few months ago and it’s been a waste of money.
-Trying to connect the camera to my phone is a nightmare as the connection takes to long and the camera goes back to recording or my app crashes when it finally connects.

Life of Camera
Good, not great, camera. Screen no longer works while driving for marking. Randomly shuts off for no reason.
Truncated titles
Hello FirstTech dev, new to this app, could you please fix the truncated title across the “tabs”. Make the text smaller as well as break the line into two. Right now it is very hard to tell or guess what they are. Also please try adding SF Symbols in front to differentiate them.
Unable to Connect
App appears to recognize installed camera; however, when selected in the App, the app screen defaults back to home without connecting. Tried multiple phones and settings with same result. Having camera uninstalled. Very disappointed.
App needs improved
The app should add the feature where the videos show a thumbnail rather than force you to download each one to see which one it is. Also, the app requires that you always share your location, even when the app is closed. There is no reason for this but they intrusively force you to download each one this. I hope they fix this and issue an update. Lastly, they tell you that there are firmware updates available when there isn’t. The M8 has a firmware update but the M7 doesn’t. It will tell you that you need an update even if your device doesn’t. They should fix these bugs.

Struggles
Lots of problems viewing, WiFi is a joke, you can’t be connected to anything but the m7 and you have to be right next to it to view on the app, what’s the point? Video good, not worth the premium over other brands.
Super Reliable and easy to use
I’ve been using it for several months and it’s been awesome. Easy to connect over Wi-Fi even with the engine off and the voice control is fun to use. I mostly love how it looks.. it looks like it came with the car.
Terrible app, Terrible camera
I had this camera installed for over $700. I got a front, rear, and interior camera. The camera doesn’t constantly record, it misses so much time. It missed two accidents that happened in front of me and it missed someone hitting my car and running. I had it for a few months and ended up going back to the shop that installed it to get a different dash cam.
Next is the app, you can only access the footage when you’re inside your car with the car on. It’s so inconvenient and if someone was to steal your camera then you’d have no footage. Then the way the footage is set up is so inconvenient and confusing. It files your footage by minute and in four different categories… WHY? Then when you click on a video, realize it’s not the 60 seconds you want, and you back out of it then it sends you back to the start of all your videos. Who ever designed the app shouldn’t be in the tech industry. The WiFi often disconnects from your phone while you’re looking through footage too.
Overall I have nothing good to say about this app or camera.
