Buggy

Core gameplay is good enough, but there are too many bugs (sometimes game breaking) for me to continue playing

A suggestion

Everything's great, but please add enemy-specific icons on the turn-time bar. It can really make the combat more fluid and transparent.

Very good

The gameplay is super fun and engaging unlike a lot of other mobile games. I saw other reviews complaining about the difficulty but I feel like the difficulty is what makes the game fun instead of being mind-numbingly easy like most other mobile games that use bright colors and and have practically no gameplay.

Great game design

Very unique game design. Best of 2024 on my phone.

Great Game

Overall, an amazing mobile game I play all the time. Definitely one of my favourite rogue-lites for sure. I haven’t gotten super far yet so i don’t know if it’s already in the game, but my only recommendation is adding an infinite mode when u get as far as u can for stages and stack items.

Fun and tough Roguelike

This game isn’t easy to to start off with and you will die a lot if you’re new to parry games the timing of the parry is great and the combat itself feels very active being able to combo different attacks together my only issue is with the difficulty curve I feel that NG- and NG are incredibly easy once you have the timing down but once you get to NG+ it’s quite a big jump with enemies now having much longer combos and even being able to fake you out at times and while I wouldn’t have a problem with this since I’m used to fromsoftware games and I like that fast paced type of combat it’s pretty hard to distinguish most times what an enemy is doing since it’s pixel art the fakeouts are much harder to tell but aside from that it’s a fantastic game and has plenty to do and hopefully room for more in the future.

Really underrated

Such a good game. Love the concept and gameplay. I hope you are still updating it.

So close to 5 stars! A few suggestions and a small glitch.

Gameplay is very fun and ads aren’t intrusive!

There is one glitch I’ve noticed, after selecting where a new card should go in battle, if you tap on another spot it’ll move to the slot you tap on and overlap the card that’s already there. However, this doesn’t effect the gameplay at all so it’s not critical.

The only thing that’s keeping me from giving this amazing app a 5 star review is the lack of character customization. It would be really nice to be able to have a few options for how your character looks.

Last suggestion would be qol for ipad, it would be very nice if the aspect ratio wasn’t fixed. This could be done through either by just scaling the background, or having some different background border art like how it’s done in btd6.

It would also be nice if you could use space on an ipad keyboard as a tap for combat, as in space would be the same as tapping the screen for parries. This last detail isn’t too important as the player would assumingely still have to use the trackpad for card selection (unless you added number key support for card selection) so it wouldn't change too much anyhow.

All things consider this is an amazing game and I’d love to give it 5 stars if we could see some character options. Great job on the game!

One of the best roguelite games for IOS

Let me preface this by giving a bit of context to my history with roguelite games. I have over 60 roguelite games on steam, and have played a combined 3000+ hours of roguelites, my favourite being dead cells. As a mobile game, this game does not try to be overly ambitious, so don't go into it expecting the next risk of rain 2 or enter the gungeon. instead, it is a simple but surprisingly engaging turn based game, where you tap at the right time to parry enemy attacks and regain energy to play your abilities when you do so. This mechanic creates an extremely high skill ceiling, where parrying as much as possible allows you to attack more frequently as well as take no damage. Runs are short, with only 3 areas (15 encounters total) before the boss, and this leads to enjoyable, fast runs with little downtime. Your first few runs will be HARD and you will die a lot, but as you learn to parry more you'll get to the final boss quite quickly. Gems are not important to buy, as you can honestly get more of them by just playing the game and they are only used to buy permanent upgrades for your runs, which you can get as rewards by killing enemies. The dev is extremely active on his discord and is very receptive to player feedback. If you have ideas, join the discord and share them with him!

Best Mobile Game

Really fun and addicting combat
Only suggestion would be making it more clear how some mechanics work (combos should be used after the attack)

Love it, need more.

GIVE US MORE CONTENT PLEASE

Awful gameplay

They made the mechanics WAY to hard. Tapping to parry is almost impossible when every enemy has a new move set and the momentum system refill is awful. If I could rate 0 stars I would.

Sekiro mobile

Very difficult but when you perfectly parry a chain of attacks it is very satisfying

Awesome and addictive

It’s super fun to play, I love the combat system
It’ll take some time to get it down though, the game isn’t the forgiving type

Good game

A very good game for casual players. The equipment makes it so hardcore like me find good stats on equipment.

Exceptional

A very nice 👌🏼🤌🏼

Confusing for new players

This game has a lot of potential, it’s quite fun if things go correctly. But the lack of a guide or detailed explanations of what things are is really holding back my enjoyment, and is likely holding new players back.

Mechanics like Momentum Damage, Weapon Types, etc *need* to be clearly explained. I had to slog through the games Discord server to understand how basic things work- that is unacceptable. An in-game journal would be a great idea. If that’s too big of an ask, a link to some kind of Google Doc that explains game concepts would be leagues better than nothing at all.

The relic system is a great addition but it is unlocked too late into the game. It should be the 3rd or 4th unlock- not the 11th. By then, players (especially the ones playing on easy, where XP is halved) would have given up. The relics you get early game aren’t even *that* game changing, so giving early players a sense of progression by acquiring a common relic or two each run would be great. The relic inventory UI needs a complete overhaul though- it’s a cluttered mess. Perhaps draw from Genshin’s Artifact system for some UI inspiration.

As stated by others, healing being locked behind replacing one of your cards feels bad. It essentially means you only have 3 card slots, since the fourth would randomize every level. Either add a 5th card slot, give players a choice between multiple cards, or heal the player regardless if a card is chosen or not.

Some tweaks I’d like to see:
- Speed up the transition page between fights, it really kills the momentum of gameplay
- Remove the revive timer for people who purchased the remove ads upgrade

Some ideas:
- Allow players to choose which fights to tackle with branching paths, similar to FTL’s level progression
- Add random events to break up the repetition of gameplay
- Add a “training” zone where players can practice their parrying against different enemies

Overall, this game is very very fun, and the ad-free upgrade was worth it! I’m excited to see what future updates will bring- keep up the great work! :)

Confusing for new players

This game has a lot of potential, it’s quite fun if things go correctly. But the lack of a guide or detailed explanations of what things are is really holding back my enjoyment. There is also no wiki on this game.

Questions I have :
- Do shield attacks block damage?
- What is the point of momentum damage?
- Why is my leveled relic exactly the same?
- What are the differences between the weapon types?

Between the lack of info, healing being locked behind forcefully having to accept a new card, and the currency used during gameplay being the same as the currency used outside of it, this game is very unforgiving to new players, and I’d assume that most people delete the game after trying it out.

Great game, needs customization

Like the title says I think this game would be great with some character customization and different characters! It would be cool to play as one of the orcs or the big red berserker dude in the cave and if the gear showed up on the character it’d get its fifth star:) oh and maybe some human character unlocks as well!

Not the greatest…

The tutorial wasn’t the greatest, I had hard time understanding momentum and the speed of the attacks. But disregarding that I’d say the tutorial is fine, but on to the main gameplay. I find the addition of action cards quite cumbersome, seeing as they take up almost half of the screen.

Now on to the positive parts. I think parrying is very satisfying and the fact that you could block at the cost of momentum is pretty good, the minimalistic style the game is pretty good. I do think the items could use a bit more work on functionality, but that’s the extent of my problems with items.

Back on the topic of minimalistic style, I do feel like things could be downsized a bit, I feel like my screen is a bit crowded, so that could use some work.

Overall, a nice game but it could use a few tweaks.
