Save your money for a better ai imaging. This is a total rip off.
Momo Deleted Paid Content
Momo deleted every AI profile in my account and 100’s of photographs generated through each of those profiles. This was paid content created over substantial time, not a minor temporary glitch. Other images remained visible in the app’s separate One Shot section, while the AI Profiles and Generated sections were empty.
I first reported the missing content on July 13, 2026. I provided my user ID, registered email, screenshots, and repeatedly requested restoration, retrieval from backups, preservation of my account data, a case number, and an explanation.
Momo initially claimed the matter was being investigated. On July 18, “Ashley from Support Team” said the request had been logged, was “currently being reviewed,” and that the team was “actively working on it.” On July 20, “Carla from Support Team” said unnamed “related departments” were working on the issue. Neither response included a case number, technical findings, recovery plan, or timeline. Momo even sent a customer-service rating request before resolving anything. The earlier correspondence documents these repeated recovery and preservation requests and Momo’s generic responses.
Then, on July 22, Momo abruptly changed its explanation. Support wrote:
“After completing the necessary checks, we can confirm that there is no technical issue or error with your account.”
Momo then admitted:
“Profiles and their associated content that remain inactive for an extended period are automatically removed from the app. Based on our review, this is what occurred with your account.”
This means Momo intentionally removed paid profiles and generated content under an undefined “extended inactivity” rule. The company did not identify:
• the length of the alleged inactivity period;
• my last recorded activity date;
• the date my profiles and images were removed;
• where this deletion rule was disclosed before purchase;
• whether any warning was sent before deletion;
• whether the removal is permanent;
• whether backups exist; or
• why paid user-created content cannot be restored or exported.
Instead of restoring the content, Momo offered a subscription refund while simultaneously claiming it had no authority to process one. Support then directed me to Momo’s generic website rather than providing an actual refund link, escalation contact, case number, or recovery procedure.
Calling this “no technical issue” does not make it acceptable. An app automatically deleting paid user-created content without a clear warning, defined retention period, export option, or meaningful recovery process is even more alarming than an accidental malfunction.
Users should understand the risk: content you paid to generate may be automatically removed after an unspecified period, and support may provide weeks of generic “we’re working on it” responses before finally saying the deletion was intentional.
I will update this review if Momo:
Restores every missing profile and generated photograph or provides a complete secure export from its servers or backups.
Identifies the exact deletion date, inactivity period, and policy allegedly authorizing the removal.
Provides proof that advance notice was sent.
Issues an appropriate refund for the paid content and usage that were lost.
Adds clear in-app warnings and an export option so this does not happen to other customers.
Until then, I strongly recommend that users avoid paying for Momo or trusting it to preserve photographs they care about.

I uploaded just a few pictures and it had PACKS of ideas already ready. Very entertaining.

I am a pasty white lady and more than half of my photos make me look like I am of South America decent and some make me look Asian.

When you signup you get enough credits for 1 headshot. If you do t like it or it looks fake, no recourse you’re stuck buying more credits. Terrible app and pricing.

Felt like a total scam. Paid for a month subscription because I needed a professional headshot for work. I could only create one photo with only their 5 set backgrounds which were all cheesy. The headshot came out terribly and I had to pay $5 to make another photo. Chat GPT works much better.

Terrible app. I wanted a professional headshot with background removed it put my head on another persons body, changed my face shape and teeth. Then to revise the pic it cost extra when I already paid for a week of service. I want a refund! ChatGPT did a better job and was free. So misleading!!
