IAP is broken
This app is sold as supporting macOS 12 and above. Its IAP for people who supported the developer in his previous version of the app at the highest level is fundamentally broken. It expires after 7 days of system uptime, and then 14 days later, the app reverts to the free version until you restart the computer. Rebooting the computer is the only way to fix it.
The developer blames Apple, Apple's servers, the operating system, everything apart from his own application, which, along with the previous version of Mona are the only apps bought through the App Store, with "lifetime subscription" plans which exhibit this behaviour.
I used to recommend this app, nowI would warn anyone to look for a different option.

Beste Mastodon App
Die mit einigem Abstand rundeste App für Mastodon. Feature complete und extrem sauberes Design, butterweich scrollende Timeline. Die eine App, die ihr als erstes anderen empfehlen wollt die Mastodon „einfach nur nutzen“ wollen ohne von Nerd-Design verschreckt zu werden.
Same Old Bugs, New Purchase
It has the same bugs and lack of features as Mona 6, but it’s a new purchase, to get around the old version’s lifetime purchase option, named “Mona Pro Max”. There’s no guarantee version 6, the older version, will be maintained or supported any longer or if so for how long, so not purchasing 7 isn’t necessarily an option, especially when the developer has made it clear that the discounted one-time purchase of 7 for 6-purchasers *is* temporary. This is all very disingenuous and scummy from the developer. They’ve made zero effort to address any of the existing bugs or lack of features but have changed the revenue model to be more hostile to their customers. Shameful and untrustworthy.
Examples of a bugs/missing features:
1. the number indicating replies to a post and the actual replies displayed is off, usually the actual replies displayed are fewer than the number indicates, and there *are* replies that aren’t loaded/displayed. Other clients do display the replies correctly but no version of Mona does.
2. Private notes, mutes/filters and scroll/read positions are only saved in the app locally but not in the server. If you happened to have both Mona 6 and 7, for evaluation purposes, or Mona and another app because Mona lacks the essential features the other app has, these app-only features stand out.
I think there’s little reason to purchase Mona 7.

Ein echtes Downgrade
Version 7 ist leider ein echtes Downgrade von der vorherigen. Trotz langer Betaphase hat die App immer noch sehr nervige Bugs (z.B. springende Timeline, verschobene Touch-Zones für Links und Hashtags) und ist damit einfach den Preis nicht wert. Wer schon die vorherige Version (heißt jetzt Classic) hat, ist damit besser bedient.
Update, drei Monate später: die o.g. Bugs bestehen nachwievor. Das letzte App-Update ist aber auch bereits zwei Monate her, obwohl es offensichtlichen Bedarf gibt. Sehr sehr schade.

Great App!
In my opinion, this is the best Mastodon app. However, there is one thing I miss: it would be nice if you could optionally extend the header image to the top edge of the screen, just like in the official Mastodon app.
