Continuous tls banner message spam when something is wrong that covers the save button in the configuration screen making it hard to fix. Uninstalled.

Never been able to connect my account.
Unfortunately, I’ve never been able to simply log into my account in Monal. My credentials are fine; they function perfectly on a web browser. The problem is with Monal. Hour+ of troubleshooting and I got nowhere. Don’t waste your time.
No searching feature

I’ve been doing nothing but banging my head against the wall with most iOS xmpp clients, Monal was the only one that worked pretty much out of the box. I can guarantee compatibility with self hosted prosody, most of the online clients(they have their own issues), conversations on android, Dino and gajim. Don’t forget to get OMEMO and run prosody features check. I found it has barely any compatibility with Siskin IM

Does everything a jabber/XMPP app should do
I saw some reviews of people having issues receiving messages and the server not fetching them properly that’s primarily because of the Server that you’re using for that it’s kind of out of Monals hands if the server that your jabber account is using is unstable you can verify that on the XMPP website where they provide server addresses to use or even create your own server then you won’t have to worry about it being unstable. But overall wonderful app is the best of the best. In my opinion you’re not gonna really get a modern looking one because jabber is just so old and I’m surprised it’s even still around lol

OMEMO and device verification is really nice and comfortable too compared to some alternatives

Why such a basic feature doesn’t exist on this app? I would be even happy with bulk copy not necessarily the ability to highlight certain text and copy it

App unstable at times
This app would be absolutely amazing if it weren’t for the weird glitches that happen. Being able to copy Jabber handles and being able to fetch messages from the Jabber server is something that Monal does perfectly, but there seems to be a strange bug where some UI items overlay on one another or don’t show at all. This app would be amazing if it weren’t for these bugs, and I intend to come back to use this when they are fixed. Overall, it is a great app but lacks stability at times.

Best XMPP iOS App
Works well and as expected. Could do with some more feature like emoji reactions and ability to change font size for elderly etc but so far enjoying it thanks.
