Is this app still active???

The features are great but there are sooo many articles that are incomplete. So many articles I need to click on the website to access so then I cannot check the vocabulary or save the word easily.

Good looking and useful

Reading in the app is comfortable and I like the word quiz to unlock. The app crashes though when I open it on my Apple Watch and if it’s closed in my phone my watch won’t detect it.

Good

The app is exactly what I was looking for. I really enjoy listening and shadowing and it’s perfect. Quilts content and option to use flash cards.

Absolutely great for learning the readings of Kanji

Some things it is missing: a better menu, font sizes

Add SELF-RECORDING feature

Great app. Add a self-recording feature in general or SPECIFICALLY under 本田家の日常 to compare your voice with natives’ voice in those lessons. Your premium will suddenly become so much more attractive.

Another suggestion is when you bookmark your favorite words, there should be examples included in the bookmarked words drawn from the sentences that the words are used. One idea is to have somewhere in the bookmark vocabulary of a word where, let’s say, when you search a particular word, sentences in articles containing that word will show up.
This helps learners retain vocabulary more easily as they have the context where the words are used and will know how to use them more properly.

No Spanish

The page clearly states that the app is available in multiple languages including Spanish but the support team tells me it is available only in English.

Audio quality is poor

Though content is reasonable and hard work is being done, quality of audio is still (yes, I gave this feedback via customer feedback within app also) poor. Even at times there is background noise.
Another issue is, there are issues with audio playback if headset is not connected.

Ohh yes, I am premium member of this app.

Really great conceptually

The audio in the daily talk needs to be normalized. The talking is very quiet but then the laughing is so loud it breaks my eardrums

Love the app, but it keeps crashing

The app is great for learning Japanese and also keeping up with the latest news. I love that it has so many different categories to choose from and you can easily look up words that you don’t know.

However, the biggest problem for me is that the app crashes a lot when I try to look up words. This is really frustrating when I’m trying to read as fast as possible but end having to restart the app and find my place again. Please fix this and I’d be willing to upgrade to premium.

App CRASHES

The app keeps crashing when I click on words (usually place names and people's names, but also on regular words too). When it crashes my iPhone screen goes black and the app closes.

Nice concept

Nice concept but it could do with a lot better on boarding process and explanation of its benefits. Additionally at this stage it constantly crashes when looking up words. Hopefully these hiccups get worked out quickly. It could turn in to something quite great!

Very useful, but needs some more kinks worked out

I really want to use this app more regularly, but then the more I use it, the quicker I remember how difficult it is to use the highlighting function. I want to be able to highlight the exact character I want and, if need be, copy and paste it in a different dictionary. Sometimes highlighting a word can make the app bug out which makes it all the more bothersome.

The dictionary in the app is just okay. I wish it would give other forms of the word. For example, the word I highlighted was “盗もう” but the dictionary couldn’t tell me the dictionary form of the word. Actually, the dictionary said “通訳ありません”. If I didn’t know what that form was, I would never know what the word means. A grammar dictionary would also be very helpful in this situation. That could be an idea for the future.

I really want to use this app more, but the highlighting and dictionary capabilities hurt more than they help. I’m looking forward to future versions of the app.

It's really good, but...

...the built-in dictionary does not give definitions for many words. Apart from that, it is a really good app for learning Japanese

Very polished. Well done!

Love the word quizzes

いいアップだ

美しい !

Très très bonne application je l'adore !

Excellent app

By far the best app I've seen to learn Japanese (and I have more than 40 apps).

This app regroups all the important features : word lists, quizzes, smart learning; and adds the ability to read articles in Japanese (like Easy News) but also allows us to smoothly look for the meaning of words, which will directly be added to the learning list. Because it's not enough, it also has a penpal system integrated.

This app does it all !

Simply the best app I have ever used in my life!!!!

I do not exaggerate when I say that this is the most ingenious app that I have ever come across! It is extremely helpful for my Japanese learning and it even sorts the articles by difficulty! I have only used the iPhone part so far, but this is an truly amazing app!! It is actually flawless. Thank you to the developers for putting together such a wonderful app that actually works!! 🌈
