About
See this month's payments and what you expect to have left, all in one place.
Money Left helps you plan monthly income and expenses using payment and debit dates. The interface is available in English and Japanese, with 14 budget currencies to choose from.
CHOOSE YOUR LANGUAGE AND CURRENCY
Set your language and budget currency separately on first launch, then follow a short getting-started guide. Supported currencies: JPY, USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD, CHF, CNY, HKD, SGD, KRW, TWD and INR.
Each budget uses one currency. Currency conversion and mixed-currency records are not supported. The currency cannot be changed after records are added. JPY and KRW use whole amounts; the other supported currencies use two decimal places. Enter decimals with a period (.). Month boundaries currently use Japan time. You can reopen the guide from Home.
YOUR MONTH AT A GLANCE
View expected income, expected expenses, paid expenses, upcoming payments and your estimated money left. Home also shows fixed and variable expenses and a complete breakdown of the month's registered income and expenses, with dates and amounts.
QUICK INCOME AND EXPENSE ENTRY
Use the Income and Expenses tabs to enter records. Set your take-home salary and payday, or add one-off income such as a bonus. Previously used expense names are available to select next time.
EDIT RECORDS LATER
Open an item from the Home breakdown or a registered-items list to edit its name, amount or date. Expenses can be one-off, monthly or yearly. Recurrence and whether the amount varies are separate settings.
NO DUPLICATE PLANNED AND PAID EXPENSES
Confirming a payment replaces its planned amount with the actual payment. For recurring expenses, choose whether an amount change applies only to this payment or to future payments.
A LIVING-EXPENSE BUDGET WITHOUT DOUBLE COUNTING
Actual spending and the remaining estimate work together in the forecast. Known payments above your budget are also reflected.
MISSING INFORMATION IS NOT ZERO
Labels distinguish actual, planned and estimated amounts. When required salary, budget or expense estimates are missing, Money Left explains that a complete forecast cannot yet be calculated.
YOUR BUDGET RECORDS STAY ON YOUR DEVICE
No account is required. There is no bank or card connection. Card-purchase notes are excluded from totals; register the card debit separately to avoid counting the same payment twice.
Money left is a forecast based on your registered income and expenses. It is not your bank balance or a guarantee of money available to spend.
