MonkeyMoteHD review
This is an outstanding app, especially when used with Foobar2000 and an iPad. I have been using it for several years. It’s clean, fast and does not have any bugs that I can find. The best thing about it in my opinion is that it is not cluttered with a bunch of useless things that get in the way of simply enjoying the music. It does not have the typical eye candy like other apps with lots of cute icons and flashing colors.
The app creator still actively supports the product and continues development.

Slick remote for Foobar2000
MonkeyMoteHD is a very polished controller for Foobar2000. It is responsive, orderly and has a pleasing interface. It presents the songs and you can play them, re-order them a little. However, one of the reasons I use Foobar2000 is its complex multi-functionality. MonkeyMoteHD does not present a lot of the richness of Foobar2000. If I had to choose one feature it would be metadata editing. Somehow, the slightest discrepancy in tags looks worse in MonkeyMoteHD’s crisp columns and I want to fix them right then and there. Still, for remote control of Foobar2000, this is the best.

Old but still the best foobar2000 streaming client by far
I’ve been using foobar2000 since ancient time and found out about Monkeymote in 2015 and never looked back. If you are good at foobat2000 setup, this is by far the most useful piece of component. Highly recommended for someone who is reasonably tech savvy.
BEST remote for Foobar2000
This is almost a magical app for anyone with Foobar2000. I also have the Eole skin on my F2K and this app matches that on my iPad. It even controls the Radio Paradise and Folk Alley or any other internet radio stations that you configure in F2K. I had a question on an issue that I see mentioned here in the reviews. So I reached support and Martin was super responsive. The concern was related to the app not having STOP button which causes F2K not releasing the audio driver to other app like Spotify Connect or other players. The resolution is to HOLD the PAUSE key, which functions as STOP. In my books, this is a fantastic app that I highly recommend. Thank You for the wonderful app!

Doesn't work in iPhone
I have purchased the paid version using iPad. To my surprise this cannot be used in iPhone. It's not fair as I have to purchase it again for iPhone.
Besides, this one sometimes has hiccups in auto connecting to server. Interface is good, and the app is user friendly when it works correctly.
Please address issue with supporting both iPad and iPhone when purchased for one.

File browser in addition to static library (foobar2k)
Pretty good app, works and all that. But I’d like to be able to browse drives without having to dedicate a library (i have numerous drives with various content).
The android app does this and for me it’s very convenient.
If you’re using this to control a server where you’re not reintroducing drives, it’ll be fine.

Good when it works
It doesn’t detect my foobar
It's always a hoot when new interesting-sounding features are completely undocumented
You get one star until you explain how custom track details works instead of just throwing it out there like it's going to immediately make sense.

I've been using Monketmote for about a year with foobar2000 and it's great. I can breeze through my 1.2 TB of music with the flick of a finger and control my source from anywhere within my wifi range! I would say this, if you're using foobar2000 on a computer and going out through HDMI into a modern receiver, add the WASAPI add on in foobar to bypass windows audio processing, it helps eliminate jitter and makes flac files sound every bit as good as the original disc. Also you can increase buffer size in foobar, that helps too. Enjoy!

Easy and effective
It took about 10 minutes to set up. The app did not automatically detect my computer so I had to enter its IP address manually. Then it all worked. I found the streaming icon on the bottom right, pressed it, and it streams to my iPad Pro. I use flac and it sends up to 96 kHz to the iPad, which is the iPad's limit in any case. I connect to Chord Mojo dac/amp and to fine headphones and it all just works. I only needed to do the installation program on the computer side and it required no further configuration. So this is going to be a very heavily used app. Just what I was looking for.

Remarkably good!
Easy to configure, easy to navigate even large collections, and great playback controls. The stream-to-device IAP is the icing on the cake. If you have a PC connected to your system and use foobar, or want to make your FLAC library portable around the house, this is a no-brainer.
Use it daily
A really functional and stable front end for foobar2000. Use it as the GUI for my headphone rig.
Great app with great flaw
I have only one criticism for this app. Controls are unreasonably small, especially volume control. Theres no need to crumble buttons and sliders like that. I wish there was alternative with big controls and small or hidden playlist.

Probably the best software I have owned for iPad
Absolutely amazing software, thank you Martin! Now I'm able to centralise all my music and stream it to my phone on demand!

The app does what it is supposed to do. It controls foobar2000 running on a Windows 8 tablet. The transfer of music from the tablet to the iPad, when used< works great, allowing me to then us Airplay to stream music to my AV system. Updates when they come are always improvements. Thanks!
