What's New in mono+

1.5

July 7, 2026

mono+ 1.5 is the largest update since launch. Manual Exposure Direct control over shutter speed, ISO, and focus — independently, in any combination. S locks the shutter (1/500 to 1/15), Fixed ISO locks sensitivity (400 to 3200), F locks focus at the current lens position. Any combination is valid. Activating S or ISO switches to the physical wide-angle sensor; the full multi-lens system restores when both return to AUTO. The PRO Panel Six tiles: LOOK (Tone, Texture, Tilt-Shift), COLOR (Shadow and Highlight Tone, Print Tone presets), DECAY (Light, Texture, Color Effects), FRAME (Ratio, Border), OVERLAYS (Grid, Level, Histogram, Focus Peak, Zebra — viewfinder only), SETTINGS (your look library and the gear icon for System Settings). System Settings covers Text on Frame (Watermark with favorites strip, Text Overlay with color picker, Date Stamp), Film Data on Frame (Exposure ID, Film Stock), Location, Photo Booth, and Output. Borders Instant (forces square), Instant Black (forces square), Aged (forces square), Black, White, None. Custom PNG borders from the Companion with transparency preserved. System Presets Four factory looks: STREET, PAPARAZZI, POP, FADE. Long-press to remove; restores on Reset All Settings. ProRAW 48MP DNG capture on iPhone 12 Pro or later. One capture in flight at a time — the shutter badge shows processing state. The DNG carries the complete look as embedded LookDNA for finishing in the Companion. Mac Companion Four launch entry points. Look library with status dots, Expand/Collapse All, batch delete. Import look from any JPEG, HEIC, or DNG shot with mono+. DNG finishing with Temperature, Tint, and Exposure working on raw sensor data before the look applies. TIFF and JPEG export with configurable border inclusion. LookDNA Every capture embeds the complete look recipe in EXIF metadata. Travels through AirDrop and iCloud Photos. The Companion reads it directly from a dropped file.

Amazing for content creators

If you're into the film look, stop scrolling and just get mono+. I’ve tried pretty much every camera app out there, and while most just slap a lazy, muddy filter over your photos after the fact, this one actually bakes the film physics—like the grain, halation, and warmth—directly into the image while you’re shooting. What you see in the viewfinder is exactly what you get, making it feel like a real digital darkroom. It comes loaded with 27 incredibly accurate film stocks ranging from classic CineStill 800T to vintage Super 8, and a floating "Pro Panel" that lets you micro-tweak everything from light leaks to lens dust on the fly. On top of that, it’s an absolute powerhouse for video creators thanks to a built-in scrolling teleprompter and a slick recording HUD, plus it syncs your custom looks seamlessly to your Mac or iPad via iCloud. You can just tell Gramercy Park Industries built this for people who actually care about photography—it’s a total game changer if you want your content to have a genuine signature look.
