Good App A+++
This app works fantastic and easy to use. Worthy to buy.
Intuitive
Sometimes you know what you want so you can go to an app that has a selection of classic film simulations. Other times you want something more intuitive, something that lets you experiment with values without tying you down to sliders, something that lets you feel the process of black and white conversions.
Monokrom is that app. If youβre serious about black and white, you need this app in your toolbox.
Developer is very responsive too. I reported an issue specific to the IOS beta and he fixed it in a couple of days and added iPad Pro support too.
Highly recommended.

Clearly Wonderful
This is one of the best interface designs I have seen in a number of years. It is infinitely variable and extraordinarily precise. Wish more photo editors employed this approach rather than the ubiquitous sliders...
It reads or converts RAW files and saves as TIFF.
My only wish would be the ability to zoom into an image to view very subtle changes in grain etc., but that might not be possible with the positional pucks...

Phenomenal App
So intuitive and fast, Amazingly powerful on the fly editing app! I hope it keeps getting updated and promoted !
Highly intuitive and novel approach
Simply delightful approach. Much more flexible and enjoyable than picking presets or manipulating a collection of sliders. Very cheap too!
Simply Beautiful
I have absolutely no idea why more people arenβt using or talking about this app. Simple, intuitive, highly flexible black & white conversion that thinks like I do. A joy to use and results in beautiful images. Huge thanks to the developer for a wonderful app experience!
Mostly good
Personally I would prefer sliders to x/y pucks, but they work fine. Photoshop-like controls for each colors conversion to brightness would be nice too. The ability to take photo from the app wouldn't hurt. And finally, an update for the bigger phone screens would be nice.
But so far this is the most powerful black and white photo app I've found to date. No annoying in-app photo library and tiff exporting works great with other photo apps that save tiffs.

Fair in full Editing
Very good for adjusting the total image; needs a brush tool to target specific areas.
Fantastic
This is a fantastic app. The simplicity with which an image can be adjusted is wonderful. The output is great and the tone/finish steps make for a great, logical approach to digital monochrome editing.

Probably the best b&w app out there.
The resulting image quality is probably the best out of any other app that I've used. At this point for b&w it's gonna be this one, Provoke, and One Hour Photo for me (each for slightly different needs).
A Gem of an App!
I'm an artist who spends anywhere from days to weeks on a piece, generating hundreds (and sometimes well over a thousand) intermediate versions and bits and pieces before a work is DONE done. ;)
So, I'm always refreshed by an app that makes a result...simpler. This is it for monochrome. Wow! What a great UI. Fun, intuitive, responsive, and immediate. (It also doesn't hurt that those nice controls are hooked up to some fantastic looking output.)
Also: original res and TIFF saves. This Dev is serious. My hat's off to him--all of that, plus the vast wasteland of bad/hinky clones of everything else out there. This has some personality to it without being trendy.

Quick and Simple Excellence
I own many B&W editing apps. They've all been deleted except for one: Monokrom. This app is easy enough for a novice, yet provides enough control for more advanced users. Monokrom is a worthy addition for any mobile photographer.
The best
There are a lot of BW editors out there, but the new Monokrom is best. Fun. Intuitive. Amazing!
Rivals desktop solutions
For B&W I now do not need to revert back to the desktop for processing, I have 100% workflow on the iPad. Monokrom rivals Silver Efex in its rendering quality and ease. Will be nice to see 16-bit image editing at some point for even greater image quality.

Monokrom is intuitive and so easy to use, and produces rich, deep mono photos. It's a go-to app and an important part of my camera bag. πππ

The interface is wonderful and simple. Saves at 8 mp on iPhone 5. I just got it, and am going to be playing around with it! Great job!
More stars as promised
Now the Exif data is retained here are two more stars and my thanks for the update. This app is a no brainer if you love b&w!
