Worse than Yesterday’s News
Sadly the Proud Monroe News has lost its edge. Reporting is weak, inconsistent and, above all, sorely outdated. “Headlines” are usually 2-3 days old. Nationally written and edited articles are outpacing anything “local” by a factor of 4 to 1. National parent company editorial control, lack of local input, printing deadlines and an oddly failing business model are combining to hasten the demise of a once important media. Today’s Monroe News simply parrots a national narrative and fails to inform local readers of local issues. My guidance is to catch a local snipet on the free front page and save your subscription money for a more valuable purchase.

Great app
I have had a great experience with this app. I like the different options for reading the paper: view as a web page or view the electronic version of the paper. Scroll through the pages or select a section to view. I have not had any issues in over a year, and I use this app almost every day.
