Amazing app!
I really love this app, I’ve been searching for some kind of app that is kid friendly and I came across this one. Once I spread the word to some of my friends in class about this app, pretty much the whole grade knew about it! We all can video call each other which is the coolest thing I found about Monster Messenger. The problem is, it says it’s 4+ however on the app when you have to register, you need to be over 13 which is weird since I expected this to be in use for even 4 year olds as said by the app itself ‘4+’. Other than that, I recommend this app to all kids! Especially when kids want to text bad things, the app will prevent everyone from doing that as-well as your parents having access to your account, so you won’t need to worry about a thing.

Amazing!
So I have a friend in another state and she emailed me the link for this app. I downloaded it and it’s completely amazing! I love how easy it is to text people. I would have payed 10 dollars for it! The only bit of criticism I have is that whenever I send video messages, they don’t work. It’s just a video of an empty black screen. It’s seriously amazing and now I can stay home alone and text my mom! You should definitely download it if you are considering it. I cannot stress how much I love this app!!!!

Good, but needs improving
MM opened the door for me being comfortable letting my daughter begin to message friends. We’ve used the app for about a year. What was most helpful was my control as a parent. But over the last year my comfort and control are slipping. This morning my daughter reported 4 drawn images to the developer she felt were inappropriate. The disturbing part was my daughter isn’t “friends” with the person who created the images. How can she even see these?? She showed me they showed up in a BOT feed. Then, again this morning while perusing the app I watched a couple of videos. One of the videos was a man’s strange testimony about talking with some gangster called Pimp C who gave him relationship advice? And toward the end the guy drops a profane word (s__t). Seriously, totally inappropriate. C’mon Monster, get your act together and be what you advertise. I’m close to dropping you, one more strike and you’re out. The biggest feature your app needs is parental control over EVERYTHING. I want to be able to disable videos, video chat, etc,...whatever I feel is inappropriate and unsafe for my kid.

Perfect app for families with young children
I wanted an app that would let me text my kids for free but I worried that they’d get spammed with crazy inappropriate ads or random messages from users like the Kik app did. After searching the net, I came across this app and it is exactly what I wanted!! I can keep in touch with my children in a safe, controlled environment. I love that I could add the grandparents and other close family members. The notifications I receive for all the invites the kids send out are a wonderful touch. I am content in knowing they won’t be harassed by randoms out there. The kids enjoy using this app (perhaps a little too much) thanks to the ability to draw, share GIFs, and video chat with everyone on their approved contact list. My son says it’s like having a real phone (at least on WiFi)! My MIL says we’ve created ‘monsters’ now that the kids are able call and text her as much as they want and vice versa. Since we live a long distance away from each other this is a great way for them to stay in touch without worrying about about minutes depleting or mms charges. Great design and concept. Thank you!

Typing issue
I love this app but for some reason now when i type a certain word it thinks its a bad word and it wont let me type it on my end but on my daughters end she can type it. The word is Crape as in trying to type Crape Myrtle. It gets to C.r.a.p and it comes up saying something about being rude. And it wont let me finish the word. If it does it then puts two flowers petals in between it like its blocking out a bad word. How can i fix this. My daughter can type the word out on her end with no problems but i cant.

So safe
I love this app!!! So safe😁I feel like I can text my family anywhere at anytime. I recommend monster messenger to all my friends. This is a great 👍🏼 app! I give it five stars ⭐️ The only thing I would ask to change would be the things you can subscribe to. I feel like monster messenger is good enough without subscribing to JoJo Siwa or Mickey Mouse. But other then that I love this app and will keep using it for a while!! Way safer than regular text!😁😍👨👩👧👦💕💗✅

Safe?
Why the need for a Newsfeed? It brings up pictures and contacts that my son has no business seeing. We will no longer be using this app. You say kids don’t belong anywhere near the FB apps but yet here you are trying to be more like them...
Edited May 2nd 2018: They have since updated the app with an option to block the newsfeed. We have redownloaded the app and are very happy to be using it safely once again!

I am so grateful for Monster Messenger! My husband and I are pastors and since our kids were in ministry with us, we have always been very close to our grandkids seeing them several times a week. Then our daughter and son-in-law were called to be missionaries. Now that our grandkids are on the mission field with their family, we still get to hear their precious voices and share life with them each day ☺️. I am one very Thankful Nana 🧑🏼

No password recovery/reset
Great app, needs some work. Created an account so I could talk to my daughter while at work but I incorrectly entered my email address. I went into settings to change my Email address and it asked my password (fair enough, good security) but I can’t remember the freaking password I used!
There is no option to reset the password and I can’t retrieve it via email because they have the wrong email address 😫

Dear Savga Kiwii Lover, The temporary ban lasted 24 hours only. It was triggered because you had had too many rejected invitations. For your own safety, only invite people you know in real life and who'll accept your invitations. :) Best, Jérôme

I needed to be able to text my mom, step dad, grandmother, and boyfriend from far away without my dad getting mad at me for texting my other side of family. I tried many apps but none worked. So I tried monster messenger and wow I am so glad I did. By far this is the best app ever. I check this every day after school and text my boyfriend for 1-2 hours. Knowing I can make a long distance relationship work is an amazing feeling. It’s even better when you know you can text family members and you can do safely. Thank you. This app is wonderful.

Literally The Best Ever
Monster Messenger is simply incredible. I am able to talk with my family and friends easily and without any trouble. When I came across a small problem, instantly I received an amazing email from a Monster Messenger coworker. The best thing about this app is that it is so SAFE. It makes me feel at ease knowing my siblings are interacting in a secure environment, which of course increases the amount of enjoyment and fun.

I downloaded this app for my son so he could text me and I could text him while at different places and when he has Wi-Fi. Love how safe it is with being in IT Security. Didn’t want him to use iMessage as I have no control over that for the most part. So I did my research and this app is one that is considered top 10 texting apps for kids. After I read the reviews and read more about it, I thought I would try. Love that it is free and such a great idea and UI. Love this app and so does my son. If you want to keep kids safe and have more control over who they text you will want this app! Thank you!!

Very disappointed - Parents Beware!
Our experience with this app was great, up until today. Over the last 24 hours a family members account was hacked into and a predator started a conversation with a young child and started requesting inappropriate content. An approval was never requested by this person, which is In the policy for the app. What’s more- the child’s account was suspended d/t the content, and when a new account was opened, the predator found them almost immediately and started in again. Needless to say our entire family has deleted all of our information and apps from all of our devices. Please beware!!

I LOVE mister messenger. It is a really safe app for kids who want to text friends or family. And the parents get to control it all! They alert the parents if the kids invited some stranger on the app to be their friend so the parents can stop them. It is also a little bit like Facebook. You get to subscribe to different “channels” that monster messenger picked themselves so they are kid friendly. it is pretty much the perfect app for if your kids want to feel like their parents and text! THANK YOU MONSTER MESSENGER!!!!!!!

Great App!
I wanted something that I could use to keep in touch with my 7 year old when she was off from school, or during the holiday breaks when she has to stay with a sitter & I have to work. I downloaded this app on to her kindle & I have mine on my cell phone.
It has been a great way for her to get in contact with me when she needs to. I also like that I’m in control of who’s allowed to talk to her on this messenger. I’m also able to see everything that’s being sent or received. Overall, this app is really great, and I’m glad that I found it.

Love this app for our young kids
I love that our kids can communicate with family out of town in a safe way. I know when they get messages and I have to approve anyone they want to chat with even if I submit an add for AFTER the relative accepts. It has multi safety check components. It’s a great precursor to texting while allowing safe communication with them and for them between those we approve.

I've been searching for a messenger app for my kids & their cousins to communicate with, and this is it. It's safe, and I oversee everything. This is the app that you've been waiting for to hit the market for kids. There isn't a need for your kids to ask you to use your phone anymore. Simply download this app to their iPad or phone & they are good to go. You also have to approve all "invites" and requests.

This is a great way to get kids to read & write!
My grandson is using this app now, and he communicates with us and a variety of other friends and family. It is really increasing his comprehension and speed...he was getting frustrated easily when trying to read and write in class, but this encourages him and makes it fun to learn...get this for the kids you love and help them learn to read and write!

As a Grandparent, I absolutely Love this Messenger. I can text my granddaughters anytime. I also Love the fact that Mom & Dad can monitor All the messages, and Approve, or Disapprove any messages first, from anyone who may attempt to message my girls. This is fun, and I look forward to texting my granddaughters after they get home from school. I live 250 miles away from them, and this messenger helps to keep us in touch....
