I need more

I need more…give me 4 😂 we all know monster rancher 3 was a flop but 4 continued the tradition nicely…I would definitely spend money on a rerelease on mobile of the 4th installment…

Not what I remember but similar and freezes

My game froze and the feeling is just not the same as it used to be when I tried the original games before.

Worth Every Penny

I played this as a kid on Playstation 1 console, only never could get half as far as I did on the mobile game (thanks internet). If you love Monster games, raising, collecting, etc then you will love this. In my experience, it was better the second time around and I hope they plan to rerelease the other Monster Rancher games too with the monster accessories and the underwater habitats etc., specifically, Monster Rancher 3. Or release a newer version where you can farm and collect more items with a larger inventory.
Awesome game, keep them coming!

A Gem of a Monster Training Game

This is the PERFECT fit for a mobile game. Raising, training, and battling monsters where you can save anytime, create and combine monsters, and enjoy the process at your pace, anywhere. I’m so thankful they put this series on mobile and hope there will be more to come someday. Maybe even the recent Kaiju MR game?

Great game! Please add controller support

Thank you

A perfect port, hope this means monster rancher is back!

Id give Monster Rancher 2 4stars inder normal circumstance, but this is a perfect port with added quality of life…. And even graphical improvment. If your curius about the franchize or an old fan, there is no reason not to buy this game, its reasonably priced! They went above and beoyond, well worth the money. Why 4 stars you may ask, well monster rancher 2 suffers from being a product of its time, were game guides were that times version of preorders bonuses, or special editions. Games were artificially inflated, with hidden secrets, and information…. And well this game has a-lot of that in troves. Monsters locked behind unknown walls… your gana need to hit up a sight, and get the info. Honestly kina wish you could just aay to unlock the monsters, feels rought to get a prompt that you cant get a monster from a disk… must hVe even been more inferiating, back when you had to actually own the CDs But this game expects you to keep track of unmarked dates, hidden stats, and other requirements, to progress. Even so as far as the fan base is concerned even with all these flaws, its one of the best monster rancher games, by pure volume of monsters! A fun fusion of management sim, and fighting game, the combat is highly addictive, and realy fun. Sadly you don't get to much of it…. Once your playing the game correctly(your basically avoiding battles and just training gods) -

A classic, perfectly ported

If you loved Monster Rancher 2 on PSX, this app is exactly what you’ll have loved from the original. There have been some excellent Quality Of Life improvements such as double speed (for grinding etc) and the ability to search a CD list to generate monsters. Graphics are more polished too. This game lends itself excellently to the smartphone market, I’m so glad it’s been released for modern media.

Nostalgic, But Terrible Probability Teacher

It’s a fun game, but if you’re looking to use it to teach your kids probability, they’ll be thoroughly confused why 50% means you’ll hit one out of 10 times and why 10% on your opponents means they’ll hit 11 times out of 12.

Don’t think that’s unique to this port - when asking the internet if I were insane or if the probabilities really had nothing to do with what’s shown on screen, there are years and years of Reddit posts complaining about this “feature”.

Lazy port, borderline unplayable

The interface is identical to the original but using touch to interact. It’s painful to sit and use your pinky finger to type on an on-screen keyboard. I barely got through creating a monster before I gave up. Loading screen times are egregious as well.

Childhood Classic! Want a continuation of the Series in later console

Honestly, as much as I enjoyed Pokémon and Digimon growing up, I had so much love for Monster Rancher game franchise, I played this on PS1, and MR4 on PS2. The best monster raising game in my opinion. Makes me feels close with the monster, and the death factor made the experience more precious. As a kid, I didn’t know how to raise them right so they died too early. Thank you for re-releasing on mobile. Finally made it the S-rank and beat the champ. I hope to see a continuation of the series in late gen consoles like PS4 or PS5.

Great port

Would like a cloud save between devices

Songs

Isnt there a way it could just read what songs i have downloaded or even the song off youtube? Also, it doesnt know even 5% of my music which is crazy. Also, isnt there a way to give it the Monster Rancher 2 Advance graphics instead? Those were 1,000,000x better

Great port! Brings back fond memories.

I LOVED this game when I was younger. To be able to play this game again (and on my iPad) is wonderful! Now they just need to port Monster Rancher Card Battle 2 to make this nostalgia trip complete :)

Found a glitch

Find the glitch while generating a monster every time I tried the game would freeze

Stop

I am playing this game and get phone call
Game stopped. Iphone X version

Nostalgia & A Great Premise

I love the MR series. This was a lot of fun but it wore out pretty quickly and left me missing Monster Rancher 3 & 4. Hopefully those two get ported next because they have a ton more depth and encourage playing longer

Welcome back, Monster Rancher!

So glad to see it back in the west. I loved this game growing up, but have no idea how long my old PS1 disc will hold out. Now I can just play it anywhere! The online vs mode (even if the opponent is always AI) is wonderful, I love seeing the monsters everyone else has raised!

A classic..or So I’m told?

I’ve never played the old monster rancher games but heard good things. Wasn’t sure how well this old game would run on IPhone but was pleasantly surprised. This is a Pokémon style game where you raise and battle monsters generated from your favorite songs. The game runs great and it’s a breath of fresh air to be playing a mobile game that isn’t littered with micro transactions. We’ll worth the buy.

Good game bad glitch

Every time I get a phone call the game freezes and I have to restart losing any progress prior to save. Fix it. Using an iPhone 12.
