Monterey Herald
The Herald is a fantastic newspaper, if only the editors were not so blindly devoted to our idiotic President. Nothing that they write is going to change the truth.
App not working since last update
For whatever reason the app no longer works correctly. It will let me open an article but cannot scroll through article. Seems like something pretty simple to fix. Apparently not so of the Herald.
No search function
I have given up on the Herald web site for a source for local news. It is made worse by the fact that there is no search function.
No local info??
The “entertainment” section lists NO local entertainment. So disappointing. Uninstalling.
Annoying!
My mother used to love to send clippings from the newspaper to friends and family. I continue the tradition by sharing articles with my children, siblings and friends via email and Facebook. I often use the app to find articles I have just read in the paper, or rather I should say I TRY to use the app for that. Maddeningly, the app seems to display only a sampling, not all the contents of the paper.

Good Paper; Improve the app
This is a good way to keep in touch with a beautiful place--with a seacoast!--where I lived happily before being marooned in the Midwest. One problem with the app: images are too big to let the reader see all of what's in the cartoons. I can't find a way to make them smaller, so I miss the punchlines.

Bigger type
It would be nice if the type could be enlarged. Options for ways to read this paper would make it more user friendly.
Fix this one thing
I like having access to local news via this app. I'm also a paper subscriber.
Notifications in the app do not go to the story in the notification when tapped and they obviously should. Please fix this.

Poor layout, old news
Typically poor job from the Herald with bland layout and two day old news.

It works pretty well. Local news is not bad... I check the obits to make sure I'm still alive!

This app is a great way to stay in touch with the local news in Monterey County. Great local coverage. John Devine provides great local sports coverage.

Stupid update
Update won't even let me open the app saying I need to update to an older version and that won't even work. Lame
Awful upgrade!
The stupid app forced me to upgrade and now I can't even open the app anymore. It just keeps telling me that no content is available and then sends me to the App Store to upgrade again. So frustrating!

A must have local app
I read the Herald Mobile app everyday. For local news and especially the local sports and Prep twitter updates. I'd like to see more of our high school and college athletes in the coverage and less national sports.
