Great app. The alerts let me know when a story breaks. It also lets me print out the daily puzzles in larger sizes, which are easier for these old eyes to read.
Also gives me online access to Gannet newspapers all around the country.

Love love love the Montgomery Advertiser app. It is so easy to access and I have access to the paper everyday in addition to my weekend subscription!!!
Easy to navigate
The Montgomery Advertiser did a good job of migrating to a digital format. The copy is scalable and the pictures are sharp and clean. Also, you have the option of saving and accessing past editions. User-friendly.
Makes It Easy to Save Trees
Iβd stopped subscribing to The Advertiser because the piles of newspaper just built up too fast. The app is easy to read and lets me keep up with news in Montgomery.

Mixed review
This app has a nice design and functions well once the paper is downloaded. I like reading the paper this way. However, there are 3 problems with it.
1) I have basically stopped reading the paper because the app logs me out and I have to log in again almost every time I want to download a paper. It is so frustrating to repeatedly log in that I just give up and don't even read the paper.
2) It takes a long time to download a paper. Thus, you have to plan in advance to download the paper long before you actually want to sit down and read the paper.
3) Not really a big deal, but... I have always been dumbfounded that, when using the tap with two fingers to pull up the entire article feature, one normally reads an article from top to bottom but then one has to again scroll all the way to the top of the article to push the x to close the article view. It makes a whole lot more sense to me to put the closing x at the bottom of the article. Even better would be to have the x at both the top and the bottom.
