I love this app as you’re able to journal and process emotions while staying in touch
great app, but additional features needed
i think the free version gives you some nice options, but the premium is so cheap i consider it worthwhile, especially if you’re like me and trying to use it daily. i like the different moods, and reasons why you’re feeling, but it would be cool to be able to write in an “other” option as to why you feel something. like “i feel irritable because of ________.” i also really like the different prompts. i also wish i could make multiple entries. i’m undergoing bipolar treatment, and my mood swings are always uncontrollably all over the place. being able to document those mood swings in the moment would be super nice. as well as journaling. i’d like to document my days on an every few hours basis, but it only allows me one entry per day. furthermore, i wish i could document something for a different day. last night i was out at a concert till 1am, so when i wrote my reflection, it posted for TODAY, and i couldn’t change it to yesterday. the idea and the thought is there, just needs a little more work in progress.

LISTEN TO US AND FIX THE APP
this app wassss fantastic but then the update changed it to where you have to pay for certain if not most emotions. like how ridiculous is that. i know you need to make money but find other ways. and then also if you miss a day or click the app at midnight there’s no way to log your previous day you missed like other apps

Notifications should be more customizable. I want to know anytime my network updates their mood
Premium subscription model is dumb
I’d have to pay 2.99/month to select a tired or depressed emoji? Yikes. I’d be fine paying a reasonable one time fee for the app, but $3 a month for that is ridiculous. I’d like to use that feature, but not paying a monthly subscription for access to a few extra emojis.

So, I got this app when it first came out and it was the best. Since it was during quarantine, I got all of my emotions out and this was really great. I deleted it in 2022 bc I felt no need for it anymore, but I just remembered this app again, so I downloaded it. Only to see that we have to pay $3 a month for extra emotions? I remember when ALL emotions were free, and I get that you need to make your money, but this seems ridiculous.

moodwave is going downhill
i loved this app with all my heart but not anymore. there was a wide assortment of emojis to represent your mood on here. now, they TOOK AWAY EMOJIS WE ALREADY HAD, and they’re making us pay to get them back?? i don’t understand having to pay $3 a month to post on a SUPPORT NETWORK that i’m tired or amused or worried or furious. stop trying to monetize off of peoples mental struggles and let us freely post how we feel

all of a sudden having to pay
i’ve been using this app for 2 years now . and it has been so essential in every aspect but it’s so unfair and disappointing that we know what to pay to express our emotions. The fact moodwave removed emotions that we already had. i don’t understand why the sudden change.

honestly, i was really happy with the app until the recent update. i get why you'd add more moods that you have to pay for, but i don’t get why we have to pay for a few of the ones that we were able to use before. i honestly like this app enough to pay, but only if it was a one time thing. i don’t see the point in it being monthly. after school, i felt like moodwave was the perfect place to vent so i always opened it. now i can’t use some of the moods i used to, and when i looked at the community feed they were all upset too. some of the supportive messages also got taken away. overall, i love the app, but i’m really disappointed with the update.

disappointing update
really did love this app, so much that i made our group get it so we could understand how to approach each other better and understand how to help each other in ways that would work. this update has ruined it for us though and we used it daily. having to pay for emotions, prompts, and supports we used to have previously, is something i’m having a hard time understanding, i can’t even tell my friends “we’re in this together” anymore or say i’m tired. removing these options unless you pay for a subscription is denying users to express how they feel without having to be confrontational, and getting to know other people understand what you’re going through, which was the whole point of the app in the first place.

HAVE TO PAY NOW?
I have LOVED Moodwave for about two years or so now but they just changed the app to have to PAY for many of the emotions we already have had and more. This is so disappointing; I would get if they maybe made some special emotions a one time pay type of thing but they took away the BASIC ones like feeling furious, lonely, and great. Not only that but you also have to pay for half of the buttons where you could send your friend a little message letting them know you have been thinking of them. Moodwave app creators, if you need money, through in an ad or something or maybe just don’t take away the things we already had. I used to always recommend this app to everyone but now I will be making sure people know it’s just a cash grab. The fame and success got to the creators and now look what happened😞😞😞😞😞💔. This was the last good app but alas no longer. I am so disappointed and devastated but I might as well just say I’m “sad” because I can only feel those ways for $2.99 a month.

Inconsiderate Cash-Grab
I would say that I am furious but that emotion would have to be purchased first. What I am is severely disappointed in this new update. I have been using Moodwave everyday for almost two years now and all the sudden we have to pay for the different emojis? I remember when these emojis did not even exist in this app. We have been gifted these emojis to use and become familiar with just for them to be taken back. For an app that prides itself in support and positivity, this move on their behalf just seems tactless. I would gladly invest in an app like this, that I hold very close and dear to my heart, but for the price to be three dollars every single month? I could get behind maybe five dollars a year or even a one time purchase for five dollars. To me this just seems like a unthought through business move that could have beneficial to both parties. Developers seem to forget that charging their customers will only work if they are content and willing to pay. This app still has such a great platform for outreach and an outlet to help with mental health. I hope the developers can see their mistake and put more thought into their next move.

I am furious. As moodwave member for over 2 years I am so disappointed with this app for making half of the emotions pro. This app has helped me though a lot of ups and downs and now I cant even express half of my emotions. For a mental health app, this decision does not support the positive mental health movement.

what is this update??
i absolutely LOVED this app and used it every day. it’s a great way to stay in touch with friends and express emotions. but now there’s a pay wall to use most of the emotions? i hate that now some of the emotions that we used to have now require a monthly subscription, and they only added a few more, which aren’t even that great. i would love to see frustrated, fine, or something more useful. i love this app, but i can’t get over how annoyed i am with this update.

i’ve been on moodwave since it started. it’s been greatly helpful to me and my relationships. but now, thanks to this update, i have to pay to have emotions?? it’s reinforcing the narrative that only the wealthy are allowed to access the best mental health resources and that the lower in class you are, the little your emotions matter. shame on you moodwave. i’ll be taking my feelings else we’re and telling my friends to do the same.

New Update.
This new update is horrible! Everyone in the community is upset about this. We used to have access to every single emotion option up to the Giddy option and the Devious option. Now we have to pay for the options we already had? Outraged!
Paying for complex emotions?
I have had this app for over two years and it was a nice silly thing with my friends to keep in touch and now it’s trying to make me pay to have the more complex emotions, like i get it the app has to make money but who wants to pay for that! I would get another app before getting attached to this one bc I really liked it and this is really ruining it for me.

i love this app. i got it years ago and encouraged my friends to get it too. it’s been a life changer and it helps me stay more in contact with my emotions and my feelings and is a great journal. i’m really angry that this update has decided to gatekeep certain emojis and writing on prompts and sending messages to other people. i can’t afford to pay to help other people and to help my emotions.

The New Update Is Terrible.
As you can tell by the title I, as well as many other users, are not fond of the new update. You now have to pay for certain emotions as well as reactions. I used this app back in 2022 and coming back now in 2023 this was such a shock & disappointment. Moodwave will most certainly not be getting any money from me.
