What's New in Moon

1.4.0

November 2, 2026

Version 1.4.0 brings Night sounds: Moon listens to your night right on your iPhone and shows you in the morning what it heard. Even without Apple Watch. Night sounds Before bed, tap “Lights out” and put your iPhone next to you. Moon listens right on the device, and the audio never leaves your iPhone unless you share a clip yourself. In the morning, your night details show what Moon heard: snoring, breathing, sleep talking, coughs and sneezes, crying and laughter, a baby, animals, and noises from home and the street. You get a summary by category, short clips with a player, and favorites. Wrong sound? Tap “Wrong category”. With Apple Watch, sounds appear right on your sleep stages chart. Caught something funny? Send the clip as a video. While Moon is listening, the “Moon is listening” Live Activity stays on your Lock Screen. The “Time for bed” reminder comes with a “Lights out” button. The night ends on its own: when you stop your alarm or get up in the morning. Sound detection and counts are free for everyone. Listening to clips and sharing them is available with Premium. Night by iPhone No Apple Watch? Your iPhone still gives you a night: when you went to bed, roughly when you fell asleep and woke up, time in bed, estimated sleep (marked ≈) and how long you used your phone after lights out. Sleep stages need Apple Watch, so a night by iPhone doesn't have them. Trends - New Snoring trend, free for everyone. - Sleep duration and bedtime use your nights by iPhone when there's no Apple Watch data. - Press and hold any trend chart to see each night. Also new - Widgets show your night by iPhone. - New sleep rings in the Apple Watch app. - Your first weekly analysis from Moon AI is free, and you can share your week as a card. - Moon now suggests inviting a friend to a shared alarm. Good night from Moon!

User reviews

Stats galore!

Love this app! It provides the specific sleep stage data that my Oura Ring app lacks. Being able to see the exact minutes of REM/Deep sleep, and the specific timestamps for when I’m awake (instead of just bars on a chart) makes a huge difference. Great UI and very insightful.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for such a detailed and insightful review! I’m thrilled to hear that Moon is providing the level of clarity you were looking for. My goal was exactly that — to move beyond abstract charts and give users concrete data, like exact minutes and timestamps, to truly understand their sleep patterns. Knowing that you find our UI helpful and superior in data presentation means a lot to me. Wishing you many more nights of deep, restful sleep!
