Horrible app
This review is for the mobile app itself, not for the newspaper content. I like to read my news on my phone. This app makes that extremely difficult. I’ve never seen another newspaper app that works like this one. On the screen it shows a miniature version of the print edition. When you click on an article, you can pull it up and read it, but this only works if you can read the headline in it’s little miniature version. You can’t just scroll through the articles like on every other news app I’ve ever used (i.e. NYT, WP, WSJ, BDN). Publishers are not doing themselves any favors with this clunky hard to use app. I never would’ve paid for a year subscription if I would have known how bad the app is. There is no way to navigate straight to a particular section, for example, Opinions. The search engine is abysmal. I definitely won’t renew. I guess I’ll be going back to BDN which at least has a decent app.
