Incredible 3D Design and Creativity App!

After trying the free version of Morphi on my iPad, I decided to purchase Morphi Edu for iPad since it's identical to Morphi and is a paid app without an in app purchase. The more I use Morphi, the more I realise how this app is an incredible creativity tool. I'm not a professional designer and wanted a way to quickly visualize my ideas and Morphi has made it much easier for me to do that. I can sketch out and evolve my ideas using the many drawing and shapes tools. I can play around with my photography both on the 3D models I create and even as 2D objects in AR in my house. The Morphi app team has succeeded in making a 3D modeling tool that is affordable, accessible and fun. It's also great that they continue to take the app in new directions. Looking forward to their new releases. Thanks Moprhi app team!

Great Designing app

Unfortunately very frequently the shapes you are attempting to subtract(or remove from another shape)fails and subtracts nothing and becomes a glitched piece that won’t subtract or be subtracted from

Would it be possible to email us a screen shot or video of what is happening when you subtract shapes so we can see exactly what is going on. We'll be better able to resolve the problem. In the meantime, a couple of tips on grouping. Morphi works best with iOS 11. If you are trying to subtract grouped objects then you will usually need to ungroup them and subtract them one at a time. Cute and pretty only for play don't try anything practical

Visually v attractive but hugely frustrating interface. Moving objects is so clumsy, objects get grouped and moved by accident constantly but sizing things is maddening. size tools have zero fine controls. X y x coordinates not indicated and even object selection is just frustrating. Play w the free don't pay for this

Hi Veritas4all, many thanks for your review. We're here to help you so lets take each of your issues one by one: 1. Moving objects: You can select one object or several objects by clicking on each of them (or select all for all of them, under editing tools in 2nd tab in right corner) and then you can move objects horizontally by dragging or vertically with the up and down tool. It may take some time to get used to selecting and moving objects on an iPad but you will get the hang of it once you have tried it a few times. You can also temporarily freeze the grid if it is easier for you when you move objects (third views tab in upper right corner). People have designed everything from fully functioning rockets to rings to robot enclosures in Morphi on iPad. For fine movements, go to the editing tab (2nd tab in the top right corner) and scroll down to position the grid on x, y and z. 2. Grouping: Objects are not grouped unless you select them and click on the group button in the editing tools. If you select an object by accident, then simply deselect it. 3. Size tools: You can change dimensions precisely by scrolling down to the scale tools in the editing toolbar and clicking on scale button and using - or + to add precise dimensions. 4. XYZ coordinates: You can click on the ruler in the editing tools (2nd tab, right corner) and see xyz for your object or group in mm and inches. You can also go to the position section in the editing tools and position your object or group on the grid on x,y and z. Easy App for Beautiful 3D Design

My students and I have been using this app for over a year to design in 3-D. Students have created wonderful objects, both simple and complex, that we have printed on our 3-D printer. I especially love how easy it is to take line drawings and convert them into 3-D simply by pushing a button. It makes it easy for even second graders to make 3-D designs that truly wow everybody.

Colors

Is there a way to download more colors? It would be awesome to be able to download transparent colors and or make the objects substances like water. Overall cool app

Great Educational App for Introducing 3D Modeling

This is a powerful, yet easy to learn and use App. By far, the best App I have found to introduce students to 3D Modeling.

School Issues

We downloaded this for our students and it is continually crashing and deleting my students files. NOT happy that we bought this for several hundred dollars and it doesn't work!
