Immediate error message

I received an error right away saying that there was a problem loading packages, along with a prompt asking me to allow pasting from Safari. The app won’t run. I see that it is several years old. I hope the developer will either maintain this app or remove it from the App Store.

Response from developer

Please try it again. I have corrected the backend issue causing the problem. Let me know if you can.

I have a problem.

Thank you for creating a very meaningful app.

On the iPhone 17pro, which has changed the model, the following warning is displayed and cannot be started.

“Problem Loading Packages
There was a problem loading the packages, please check network connection and try again.”

I uninstalled it and tried to install it again, but it has the same symptoms.

It is a favorite app for subscription use, so it would be helpful if you could respond.

Perfect

I went from not knowing a single bit of Morse code to being a master at it just using this app in a day.
Compatible with my old devices too. You do not have to pay and it’s a fun concept. 10/10

Too much, too fast

I only tried the free version but didn’t see where paying would change this: too many letters, too fast. It piles em all up on you without a way to break it into bite-sized chunks. I love the concept.

Response from developer

In settings, you can slow down the drop rate, and adjust to your learning level.

Fun and easy

Helped me learn the timings as well as how to write out the symbols and numbers. Great app.

tell me how much pro costs

Does not say how much pro costs.

Great app

love the app! helps keep your skills sharp! i memorized all the letters. now i use a morse keyboard with confidence! like i said, great app.
must have for anyone who wants to learn morse code.

Best cw learning tool

Amazing app. I learned all letters quickly! Love the game. Free version very powerful. Paid version great value. LOVE IT. Best app I’ve found to really learn quickly.

Outstanding app

This app makes it easy to learn or review Morse code. The app worked flawlessly for me. The interface is pleasant, configuration options allow you to tailor the app for your needs, and the “barrage” of letters is actually challenging (but in a good way), it forces you to focus and stay on task thus accelerating your learning on how to send. It starts in “normal” difficulty, but can be switched to “easy” or “hard” to suit your individual needs.
Hopefully, next on their road map is the flip-side, listening to the code and selecting the correct response. Letters first, then words.

Pretty good, can the free trial have a tiny bit more?

So far, I love it. The only thing to make it better would be to make each letter learning thing longer, not just like 5 times but more like 20 times. Same for putting it all together, and for putting it all together at times you’ll put every single thing you’ve learned together so far to the test at once. Another thing, make it so you can enable and disable the reminders for what the Morse is at the bottom. So it will only show once. And Make it for the letter learning there are bombs, so you can’t just spam the letter, instead you have to look and listen to make sure it’s not a bomb before typing in the Morse. Only things I could think of to make it better. However, I know you need to make money, but can you please also add a few letters to the free package? It could be like 1, 2 and 3 only, but even that would be nice. Not for the free course though, it would be neat if you basically gave us the Morse, whether it be a letter or number, said it was a certain number and we’d have to verify if it is, or giving us the Morse and asking us what it is. The opposite way of giving us something and expecting us to give you what it is. And using proper grammar would also be neat for a course. But yeah, 100% a good game and I’m thinking about the package, even though I don’t buy stuff in games this may be an exception. I’d love to see a game like this with American Sign Language or code!

Good for beginners

This is a pretty decent app. You do have to pay for most of the features. The only free part that I could find was sending letters. I personally think there are better apps out there. This app has very lose tolerances on how long a dash is. that would be good for a beginner that's just learning but if you at all serious I would recommend getting a different app.

Doesn,t work!

Installed it and started it running. Got several pages of instructions and a ftervthat, ended up with a screen with a large green rectangle on it and what ever I did, nothing happened. I Installed it straight away. Really glad I didn't pay anything for it Bill

I am happy to give it another as you have suggested. I actually teach morse code and had hoped that the app would have been good and would gave suggested it to students. Following your suggestion after my first review, do you now produce an updated version that I can give a proper test? Bill

GREAT HORRIBLE GAME

lol

Great with a few improvements

This is a good app, but could use a few improvements.

First remove the hint, don’t make an option to turn hint off, just remove it completely. Learning CW is all about hearing not at looking at dits and dahs. Second, when the letters are dropping and you’ve keyed in the letter, the letter keeps repeating its tone and as a result running out the time to enter the next letter. That makes learning a little harder. You only workaround is to pause the letters dropping and complete it that way. Third, when creating your own packages it would be nice to have the ability to create more than 20 words. I cannot even enter the alphabet because when you do that each letter is considered a word.

I’m Looking forward to any improvement in the future.

Hello. Thank you for the great feedback. I can easily expand the how many words you can add in the custom packages. Will do that soon. I will look into the delay you mentioned. Again, thanks for the feedback and look forward to anything else.

Just wondering

Does this app need Wifi?

Great for learning from zero

Could see myself exercising on this app from day to day to get more comfortable.

I would like to listen to podcasts during practicing and that’s not possible because there are no volume controls in the app. You can change the tone freq but it’s at 100% volume and always going to be painfully louder than other media

and the game style.

Update

Review update:

After a hiccup with responding, developer came back and helped resolving the problem. This is rare and to be appreciated!

And I may be too picky on functionality, but we do have a dialog with the dev, so hopefully that would make this game better.

Response from developer

Sorry for this trouble. We did not receive notifications from our support form. I responded to your query after seeing this review. You can restore purchases via settings at the bottom using the Restore Purchase button. Let me know if this doesn’t work and we’ll work it out.
