i had to use this in a biology lab and it wouldn’t connect to the microscope. I ended up having to stay during lunch to do the lab. I still wasn’t able to complete it and it genuinely ruined my day. Worst educational app ever.

The app doesn’t work, the camera either
This product is complete trash. It takes forever to connect and if the connection is not failing, then the app is. Do not throw your money away, just avoid both the app and the camera.
This is how to use this app! On Apple products
1. Download this app and add camera
2. Type in SSID in address
3. Leave IP address alone
4. Connect your phone to the Moticam WiFi
5. Take your images :)

Can’t save the photos

How do you guys sell a good camera with such a bad app? A lot of bugs, it's impossible to calibrate or include scales.
Can’t save images
Used with an iphone, this app will connect to a camera and display the image. But there is no process to save an image (that works anyway). I am able to save videos. Connect via a browser and skip the app entirely.

The ability to select 'Local Camera' as a source is most welcome ... but I do have two questions:
1.
Is the 'Local Camera' resolution deliberately limited ?
[iPad Pro is capable of much more]
2.
Will there be a similar upgrade on the PRO version of MotiConnect ?

This is a bad app and it's used by bad people. It keeps crashing. It has poor user interface. Photos don't download. Save yourself
