What happened!?

I had Photo Speak I paid for on my iPhone for a few years. I use it now & then. I tried to use it today & it led me to Motion Portrait. I downloaded MP because Photo Speak was not listed in app store & it says โ€˜not available in my countryโ€™ - US. That's weird. Anyone know why?

I used to love this app!

Now it will not do anything. You canโ€™t put sound it just random records whatever and you cannot save anything. Useless.

Talking balloon

I love making hot air balloons talk with the other talking apps such as Talking Ben the Dog. . . .

Superb tech, but where is it going?

The app animates photos superbly. Itโ€™s easy to use and great fun to play with. The Problem 1 is that it seems only capable of keeping up with about 7 seconds of speech at a moderate rate. Before the buffer is full and is stops listening while it works on lip sync. Problem 2 is that the app cancels the sound on iPad screen recordings and will not accept an external microphone. problem 3 is that the developers do not respond to e-mails. This is such a shame as I would happily buy a pro version of the app if the above issues were fixed.

FAQ

What does the MotionPortrait app do?

MotionPortrait transforms any portrait photo into a moving 3D avatar. This avatar will then repeat your every word when you speak to it. You can also record these animated avatars as movies and share them.

How do I create an animated avatar?

To create an animated avatar, you can either take a new portrait photo or select one from your photo library. Once a photo is chosen, the face will automatically begin moving in 3D. You can then talk to it, and it will repeat your words.

Can I customize my avatar?

Yes, you can try on and apply fun hairstyles, glasses, masks, and beards to your animated 3D avatar. This allows you to personalize its appearance before recording or sharing.

Is my personal data safe with this app?

Yes, the app prioritizes user privacy. It creates your avatar without uploading your photo to any web server, and it does not save or upload your avatar data without your explicit operation.

How can I share my animated avatar?

You can record your moving 3D avatar as a movie and then share it with friends via email, Facebook, and Twitter. You can also upload your new look directly to Twitter and Facebook, and even use it as your Twitter profile icon.
