Forces Unwanted Notifications

This app started notifying you when ppl you’ve matched with join the Now group, and it doesn’t allow you to disable it! It’s the most annoying thing bc I only want to notified when I get msgs but obviously the developers want you to log on every 30 seconds by sending you these Now notifications that you can’t stop 🙄
And yeah I know I can disable ALL notifications via iPhone’s system settings but I still want to get msg notifications. It seems like this app doesn’t want you to be able to choose that. Ridiculous.

Won't let you delete account

I've had this app for a while and it's basically useless. They don't even give you the option to delete your account, so I'm stuck on waiting until they add this feature so I can delete the app from my phone.

Hi J, We're sorry to hear that you've decided to leave our community, but we want to make the process as simple as possible for you. You can delete your account since version 1.0 following these steps: Open the Motto app and navigate to your profile page. Tap on the settings icon (gear icon) in the lower right corner of the screen. Scroll down and select "My Account". Tap on "Close my Motto Account" and confirm. Once your account is deleted, all of your data will be permanently removed from our systems. Please note that this action cannot be undone. If you need some assistance please reach out at help@findmotto.com.

App specifically for rich cities and travel destinations

In a big city and been on the “waiting list” for over a year with no information about when they will be expanding. It says it’s starting in New York but I’ve heard they are also in Miami. While on the “waiting list” you can create a profile and see the fake profiles they made to lure people to the app. Then they don’t update you on when they will “expand” the app to include other areas. Even if you are close to New York you can’t interact with any profiles because you are on the “waiting list”. There’s no reason to download this app because you can’t and won’t be able to use it for at least another 5 years while they “work out the kinks” it’s literally updated twice in over a year. Don’t waste your time with this app

While we have approved some members in the Miami and NYC area, if you happened to submit your profile without location shared or created your profile in a different area your location may not show for us to know your profile could be approved. Can’t sort/ limit by distance.

This app supposedly launched in NYC but I don’t think they really understand NYC. Most of the profiles shown would take 2 hours to get to. Nobody from Inwood is going to hook up with someone in Jamaica Queens. The lack of headless torsos is nice but being able to find people near you is where Grindr gets it right.

Only major issue is that it only lets me change 2 of my pictures and the rest I can’t.

The did their best

They wanted to change up online dating, and that’s great. Issue is that I haven’t been offered a single profile that was my type. It isn’t that I’m picky, it’s there aren’t filters to find people you might find attractive. There is only an age parameter, and they continue to suggest people who are out of it. I’m simply not into chubbier people, and I’m allowed to have my preferences without feeling like a bad person. Being out as gay means that you aren’t ashamed of people attracted to some people and not others, same should apply here. I’m deleting this app, it’s a waste of time.

Disappointing

I thought this app would be better (considering how it’s marketed) but it’s just a bunch of shirtless men who don’t take dating seriously. I don’t know what else to say. I’ve had it for a week and I’ve only had one response and it was weird and random. The guy was like “you should go outside and enjoy the weather”. How about you come with me? It’s lackluster.

I did download and check it out but unfortunately it not available for Ohio or few other states near by and I been wait for few month to check update and never happened anything and it total waste time for that

Collects info from you then shows guys in another city

Downloaded this in NYC but after filling in tons of profile info and uploading photos and doing photo verification, you end up on a “wait list” with no clear position or expectation of how/when you might be approved. Also the app mandates giving location access always but then shows you people in Miami when you’re in NYC as other reviewers have mentioned. Maybe it’s just trolling for our pics and personal info…

I signed up to check this thing out and am still confused. Most Grindr users show their faces in major cities. It’s only an issue in rural areas but for good reason. Why be coy about being a sex (“casual dating”) app? It’s like the developers the developers are taking the worst aspects of straight dating and hookup culture and concentrating them in an app. Let’s just all pretend to be serious and not only interested in sex on the surface but really it’s just sex. Like just be open and honest instead of pretending to be something else.

Kinda useless

10 profiles a day is limiting especially when they’re all just rich white guys from Manhattan who don’t want anything to do with us poorer non whites in the outer boroughs. There’s barely any people of color and if you don’t live in the most populated regions of the city, you’re basically in a desert.

Worse than Grindr

Who knew the man who made grindr could make an app that’s more socially isolating? I’ve been on the app daily for 2 months and haven’t gotten a single message. have cleared my daily batch every single day. No responses. No messages. If you’re not a 10, don’t even bother on this app. btw, I’ve seen less than 5 POC in those 2 months.

Created my account, uploaded my pictures, verified my identity, and waited for more than a week but they still didn’t approve my pics & account. I just had it sitting there in my phone for no reason. I deleted it today.

I don’t know what their methods of screening are but It’s disappointing that I’m putting personal data into an app to have a complete profile and then they wont activate me after 2 months.
