Dependable and clear
I had trail cameras from a different company and they would work for a little while, then quit. I would call customer service and they either didn’t answer or would give me bad information. I never received help and ended up throwing the cameras away. The company was in Canada for reference but I won’t say their names. Anyway I switched to Moultrie and can’t tell you about their customer service because I haven’t needed it, thank God. A bear ate my camera and that is not their fault, that’s the only reason I’ve had to replace one, oh and one was very old and I replaced it. Other than that I have had these cameras for years and add new ones to different areas around the property. I am very happy with them. I love that I get the pictures on my phone and can decide if I want the video or not. I also like, on the newer cameras, I can take a picture on demand. My only complaint is that when I put my pictures into albums, I wish they would be a copy of the picture/video. That way when I delete the ones in the gallery, the ones in my album would still be there. I made that mistake a couple times and lost some really good videos.

Mixed results
The cameras take nice photos and videos. Trigger speed seems a bit slow. Also, if you have less than perfect cell service, they will eat batteries unbelievably fast. As for the app itself, it works well for the most part, but I have had it freeze up and stop working 3 times now. It will work again after deleting it and reinstalling, but it’s a pain to have to do that.
After the most recent update, the app strips out EXIF data from the images when I save them from the app which is annoying.

I love the features on it the only thing I would fix is when you add a buck and back out it refreshes and takes you to the latest photos. So you could be 8 hours in and add a buck and then it jumps to the latest photos and you have to restart scrolling. The only way around this is to make favorites and add the bucks from the favorite list. Overall it’s a great app.

Please update the app to customize notification sound… on the iPhone it’s the default tone that about 5 other apps use lol sometimes I get excited only to see uber or Netflix sending me something dumb other than that, GREAT APP!

Moultrie Game camera review
I ran my camera September 2025 thru December of 2025 to pattern deer & check for varmints @ home after season. The unit works exceptionally well, picking up even squirrel movement. Just set it today (8/30/26) to begin the patterning process for this year. Excellent equipment.

Camera takes excellent pictures and videos. Love to have the ability to not going into hunting area. But yet still track movements. I think Moultrie should sponsor me.
SLOW
When I’m notified of new images from the cam and open the app- it is painfully slow. I mean won’t open at all, just stuck on their logo for 5-10 minutes(feels like an hour. lol)
