More versatility
The app has been functional for me so far. I would appreciate a feature/function where I may add books to a wishlist of sorts for future checkouts. This can also be used as a way to gauge user preferences.
Now part of CCS, updated app downgraded the catalog search a bit
After moving from the original system to the new one, we lost a huge part of the search functionality. The comprehensive filters from before. I can’t filter by the type of media or the section I’m looking for anymore. Bonus points if the filter options are searchable and allow multi/select (so I can choose DVD and Blu-Ray, or YA FICTION and Adult Fiction)
Updated star review from 2 to 4 when default search results improved and the “search by” feature works great. Cut out my biggest complaints from my original review, but the remaining parts above still apply

Needs another update
After the update, the app only serves the purpose of being a virtual library card you can scan. Books are no longer searchable and this is frustrating as the app used to be so easy to use.

Just try searching for the movie Alien. It’s not possible to find in the app. The main library has both a DVD and Blu-Ray copy, but I can’t filter by the type of media I’m looking for or the section or anything useful to me from pulling up any most-relevant item that happens to have some relation to aliens in content. It used to be great, but now it’s legitimately easier to pull up mppl.org in the browser and search the catalog from there. Bonus points if the filter is brought back and the filter options are multi-selectable and searchable.

Doesn’t work
they joined ccs… terrible decision.. everything is always taken now. App doesn’t even work most of the time. Dump
It could be better.
To start a off this app is pretty good, but it still needs a couple adjustments to make it perfect. Number one, the app needs to have a way to put hold on stuff from the Library of Things part of the library. Number two it needs to tell you that the pin to your account is the last four digits to the phone number that you are registered in. So thank you for listening to my opinion and review and hope you have a wonderful rest of your day!

Yay new app is here!
I hadn’t uninstalled the old app because the convenience of having my library card barcode on my phone persisted. The new blue icon made it obvious the replacement was here!!!
The previous app’s UX design was all over the place so I barely used the app and preferred the website, but this one seems pretty clean and straightforward.
Just added my household’s two library cards, and it seems to work great!
A bonus for me: I don’t remember the previous app, or even the website, having one combined search (and checkout and holds lists) that works for the physical library, Hoopla, and Libby at the same time. As someone that uses all 3 sometimes, that’s really nice.
