About
“Move-the-site Sketching” is an art experience application designed for the "Wu Guanzhong Art Sponsorship Education Series: Art Journey with Wu Guanzhong: Mobile Museum" educational workshops. This app draws inspiration from Wu Guanzhong's painting, “Tashilhunpo Monastery” created in 1961. Participants can creatively rearrange the distant mountains, temples, trees, and figures featured in Wu's artwork, offering a hands-on opportunity to explore his technique of shifting vantage points to recompose scenes and integrate different elements into his compositions. Additionally, the app’s augmented reality feature allows users to simulate the display of their own artwork in real-world environments and share their creations with others. This interactive experience deepens understanding of the artistic style of the 20th-century master, Wu Guanzhong.
"Art Journey with Wu Guanzhong: Mobile Museum" is the first programme under the Wu Guanzhong Art Sponsorship Education Series, presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, and organised by the Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMoA), sponsored by Wu Guanzhong Art Sponsorship and in partnership with the Design and Cultural Studies Workshop (CnC).
