Very glitchy
Very frustrating, glitchy and slow.
Too many glitches
Unfortunately the app keeps crashing, even though i’m using a relatively new iPhone 14 Pro and plenty of free storage left.
When you select ‘skip intro’ … the app freezes. So you close and re-open the app and are then forced to watch the intro video every time.
I then selected ‘All Play’ and the app freezes again.
Unfortunately the questions repeat themselves alot as well, which makes me think that it doesn’t keep track of the ‘question history’. Or maybe it resets everytime you close and open the app.
All round quite frustrating.

NOT updated, buggy
Plays through the same stuff each time, freezes and we have to restart too
App just doesn’t work
Tried to use it multiple times and just never seems to want to load and always lags, buffers ETC. Even tried using different connections to the tv but it’s just the app

Useless app makes games unplayable
I never leave reviews, if I don’t like an app I just don’t use it. But to properly use the board game you need this app. Unfortunately, nothing on the app loads, meaning the game is unplayable. Sort it out!
Worst App ever!
Brought as a Christmas gift we can’t even play. Soo many glitches & soo slow. Looking at the reviews, this has been an issue for some time. Fix the app already!!
Absolutely rubbish
They’ve got rid of the DVD and now use this stupid app and you can’t get it on your TV! Do not waste your money
Terrible waste of time
App freezes alllllll the time. Can’t even start the game. Can’t skip the intro. Managed to watch the instructions and then went to the start the game and the app is frozen. Restarted the app to try again and same thing happened. Bring back the DVD version!
It works
This app is good for playing movie scene it, however I wish the game had more movie clips and questions that randomized. After playing a few times my friends I and memorized which clips went with each movie so over time it became really easy to guess correctly. Overall is good, and would recommend using on an ipad so you have a larger screen to watch

Unplayable
I paid money for this game. The intro at the beginning will not even play! It won’t let me skip, it’s just frozen. Waste of $40

Completely ruins the experience
Used to love the past scene it games and was excited for this one until I tried using the app. The app makes the board game nearly unplayable. Until the app works the game is a waste of money!
Worst app EVER!
This game would be 5 stars for fun however the app is the most frustrating app to exist!! It freezes constantly. I’m writing this while the app is frozen for the 10th time!! Every time we got to the Final Cut it froze…. You can’t skip the intro so we watched that 50 times! Super infuriating…fix the bugs!!!

When will game star fix this?!
I could count the ways that I hate this app. But to save mine and your time we will count to 5.
1. The app is not on any smart TV only mobile devices.
2. It barely works even when it does work.
3. To set up a game star account you basically have to hope that the confirmation email goes through or you’re also not going to get to play.
4. Since it is only on mobile devices you better know how to screen mirror well. And don’t bring it where there’s no wifi.
And 5. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. Just release a disc and send it to everyone who has tried to register with game star as a scene user.
Save your money and buy the old ones, Because they are so fun and a great game for groups of people.

Needs more game packs
I would love to see game packs available. Back in the day there were different scene it games like Disney scene it, ESPN scene it, Friends Scene it, etc… I would love to see and even pay for different category packs for this game. Like Holiday movie edition? Yes please! Kids scene it? I’ll take that too!

Too many glitches
The game is a great idea but it’s too hard to play because after every question the app glitches and shuts down or freezes and needs restarting. Pls fix these glitches!!
Buggy and aweful
I only downloaded the app because the website freezes and crashes after every question. The app repeats questions constantly and has no option to skip or back out so you have to sit through the same question over and over until it decides to give you a new one. The old DVD version of this game was better quality

MY CODE WONT WORK!!
I can’t play the game because my code to access the game will not work because it says it’s an “invalid code” I’m so disappointed. They should have stuck with the dvds or at LEAST make a functional app….. :( now the game is unplayable.
Definitely Needs Work
Often get the same clips and questions. Needs some work making sure there’s a variety in the shuffle
