Use da browser!!!

The app is NOT GOOD. use the browser version on your Canon camera. Black screen. π“π“ž!!

Good but

This app is pretty good quality! I have a Vixia HF M31, not compatible but i also have a Vixia HF R50 wihich weorked rightt away! Tried to play a video and black screen a few months passed by still nothing. Pls fix! Ok bye.

Worse than useless

There is no way to get this app to connect a phone to a Canon Legria. It would be easier and less frustrating to try and get a cinder block to wirelessly connect to a bowl of Frosted Flakes.

Doesn’t work

I have the canon HF R80 and after downloading the app it will not connect its 2019 come on people make a better reliable product

Waste of time

App will not recognize camera after many attempts. My Nikon camera app works perfect. Canon is putting out WiFi junk shame on them, will avoid their products in the future.

Needs an update

Best Buy told me I can download this app and playback videos from my new Vixia HF R82 onto my iPad. After 30 minutes of trying to pair the two, I realized this app isn't compatible with the newer cameras. Hopefully you have an update soon?

Not compatible.

I bought the Canon Vixia HF R80 & I've been literally killing myself trying to connect my iPhone7 to it using the wifi feature just to find out it's not supported by this app. Only the older models are supported. This camera has been out for months now! Can you please make it a supported device 😩😩😩😩😩😩

Connection problem

Go to you tube for connecting your cannon camcorder. Good luck. It's still complicated take notes!

Will my Canon EOS Rebel T6 work for this app?!

Will my Canon EOS Rebel T6 work for this app?!

Great idea, doesn't work

Couldn't get this app to work at all on any of my 4 iPhone6's or my iPad. Can connect to the camera wifi but the app never connect. As the other user said, disappointed

Doesn't even work

It never sensed my camera and it doesn't work. Good idea but this app is trash. Do not buy

Wonderful app- still lacking proper improvements

I just got a Canon XA30 and wirelessly uploaded a 30 minute video from the camcorder to my iphone 6s plus. It took awhile, but is to be expected with that size file. I've had the app ever since I had the Canon Vixia M52, Canon Vixia G30, and Mini X, and to this date the tasks do not show a percentage on the progress. It'd be a proper enhancement since it's initial release.

Won't freakin' upload a file!

This app is pretty good for the majority, but it won't import a file! I just stops while importing and won't tell me why! Help!!!

Doesn't work...thank goodness it's free

Would give it less than a star. It is not finding my camcorder. The Camera Access App worked fine. I'm not sure why this one isn't performing as expected.

Extremely weak UI

Gets the job done. But, you can only transfer one clip or image at a time. Use another method if at all possible.

What's the point,,,,?

...of buying a camera marketed as having wifi capability if the app doesn't work with it!?
Pixela's web site reads that this app does not support iOS 8, but the app itself says iOS 5 and later. And no customer service email or info. I can see my camera and files using the app, but I can't watch them it download/upload them.

Canon you have failed us.
I give this a negative 5 stars.

Very basic, looks outdated

It does play videos on your phone (without requiring any storage space on the phone).
But, it doesn't look good, and it doesn't do anything except view and share to youtube/facebook.
You can't share in any other way (doesn't use the OS share function), you can't edit, or delete. There are no camera control functions.

Works Well, Limited Functionality

Just tried the updated app after last using it some time ago (Canon Vixia HF M50). It works fine, but the functionality is very basic.

Most notably it only transfers video files back to your iOS device which are recorded in MP4 mode, not AVCHD mode.

VIxia MINI X

I can't play or save to library
but send to youtube or facebook.

Very basic, but does work

This is a basic app, but it does work. I suspect most users did not read the camcorder instructions, as you must initiate the mobile upload process from the camera. The camera will inform you of the correct SSID and password to use, then you go to your phone's Wi-Fi settings and select the SSID and password from the camera, and you should connect. The camera screen will say connected, but do not tap the "End" icon, as this stop the process, and the camera will stop broadcasting the SSID. Now, start the MovieUploader app and you should be able to select your connected camera, pick a video, and either upload to your phone, YouTube or Facebook. Keep in mind that there are restrictions for video quality; if your recording is too long, or too high of quality, uploading to YouTube or Facebook will not be available as options.
