Awesome!
Awesome!!
Incredible!
I love Movie Buddy
The best app!
Brilliant APP!
I use tags, categories, loaning feature, wish-list etc to perfectly customise the app as per my requirements. And there are lot more features that I haven’t explored yet.
Another fantastic feature is to generate reports in multiple ways and export them to Excel etc. Which is super useful for quick analytics or sharing my collection with friends.
I was using Binnerup Consult app My Mohies for long time and loved it. But it got too expensive via hefty subscription fees.
With one time payment Movie Buddy is excellent value but doesn’t not compromise on any key features.
There is a learning curve. But you get the hang of it, it’s just superb and easy to use.
Awesome

Just what I was looking for
Perfect App For Movie Collectors

Does not scan any longer
I bought the pro version because I have a huge movie media collection and wanted to finally keep track of it. I like that I can export to a PDF list and also have the collection with me on the go when shopping for used or new media. It's ok but it has problems that need to be addressed. -You have to scan a little at a time because it frequently gets the wrong versions or a totally different movie and sometimes it says it didn't scan one that it did or vice versa. -It seems to default to new reboot versions of old movies I've had to go back and check multiple times which is frustrating if you're trying to scan hundreds of movies. Sometimes it puts other movies that just have the same word in the title and aren't even connected to the UPC that you scanned. -Trying to scan a series of movie sequels is tedious when it shouldn't be (eg: Friday the 13th 1-10) it mixes them up and you have to manually fix them. - Boxed sets are also annoying and it cannot find most of them, I had to manually add. It's been a lot more tedious than I expected and not even halfway through. This needs a hefty update to have more accurate results, a UPC is connected to a specific version so not sure why it's often so wrong. I hope an update comes out that fixes this database, I'm still using it for now but we'll see.
Response from developer
Thank you for the feedback. We’re very sorry for the crashes and save issue. MovieBuddy is normally very stable, so this may point to a local data, sync, or device-specific issue that we would really like to investigate and help resolve. If you are willing, please contact us from MovieBuddy > Settings > Send Feedback and let us know whether the app crashes when tapping Save or shows an error message. Regarding barcode scanning accuracy, MovieBuddy uses multiple UPC lookup services first and then searches TMDB by the detected product title, since there is unfortunately no public UPC-to-movie database. This can sometimes lead to incorrect matches, especially for older titles, sequels, and box sets. Box sets are also difficult because movie databases generally catalog individual movies rather than retail box sets. We understand the frustration and would be happy to help troubleshoot the crashes and saving problem and also offer workarounds for boxsets.
