Capturing movie title

Several times the app will not capture the movie on screen. I have to add it manually, if the name is not shown until the end of the trailer it is difficult catching the next trailer.

Too good to be true?

I was looking for good part time/spare time gig that pays decent. So naturally when I found out about movieMeasure it seemed like a good opportunity. I followed the prompts to download the app and signed up. Not only did I not get a response, I didn't even get a confirmation email that my account was successfully created and that my PERSONAL info was received. Due in large part to there not being a lot of other information on what to do. I’m feeling a little skeptical as to if this is legit or not. I know that are companies that hire for secret shoppers and stuff like that so I understand why the opportunity wouldn’t be highly publicized. But in an age where people feel a little skeptical whenever they enter their personal information on the internet, I feel a little vulnerable now that I’ve put my personal information out there to not even be acknowledged that it was received by the appropriate party.

Offline issues

Thé app sometimes does not work correctly and you cannot use it when you are without WiFi wich is a problem sometimes.
I hope they fix that issue in future versions. I’m updating the app after Ieave this comment.

Fun to use

Although it might not identify every ad or trailer, it is very easy to use. I bought a subscription to Regals “Unlimited Pass”. After seeing the trailers I usually stay and watch a movie. It makes for a great experience since I am already there.

A Great App For A Great Side Gig

Let’s get the cons out of the way first. Does it work as it should under any and all conditions? Not as currently configured. The good news is that the app developer does listen when there is a problem and works to resolve the problems that crop up in the course of carrying out the task at hand. Not every theatre location allows for a working WiFi signal, so one must be prepared to adapt. Fortunately, the app allows for manual input which can be transmitted once the signal is restored. The app is easy to use in allowing one to carry out an assignment from start to finish in an orderly and efficient manner. Once you’re in the system, the people on the other end have proven to be friendly and easy to deal with. I was told payment would be made once a month at the start of the following month, and they’ve lived up to that. I started in September and saw the payment deposited in my account on the 1st day of October. While initially there was a problem in not being paid the full amount I was due, once I brought the problem to the company’s attention, it was resolved in a timely and efficient manner. Like any new company, there are growing pains, but if you deliver what you promise to do on your end, they deliver on theirs.

iOS 13 incompatible

Please fix this I'm running what's currently the latest version of Apple's iOS iPhone 10R U.S (iOS13)

movieMeasure doesn't open and fails during the initialization process please fix this issue

No code sent

I downloaded the app and tried to sign up. I get to the verification screen and wait for my email and it never arrived.

Steady extra income

Steady gig once a week for a little extra money at the 1st of the month. Which always helps my bank account. Super nice and really listen to what you are saying to fix it and make it better. I have truly grown to love this job.

Amazing job opportunity

Don’t expect to get rich but you will get consistent work. Management is very kind and clear about their expectations. Training prepares you for anything in the theater. Great side gig! I would highly recommend. The app itself is easy to use too!

STILL Haven’t Been Paid

I thought this would be a really fun side gig and it was until I expected to get paid. Today is June 6th and I still haven’t been paid for MovieMEASURE work I did in April. Every time I call someone they just tell me to call a different person. The “accounting department” doesn’t even have a telephone number to inquire about payments or issues with payments. Emails have been answered but it takes on average of 48 hours for any response. This whole setup seems very shady to me now that I’m familiar with it and I’m very worried about paid anything at all for my time and work rendered. Not sure what else to do other than maybe getting in touch w the marketing departments at the studios that produced the films I built standees for and let them know this company is ripping people off.
NOT HAPPY!!!

Great side gig opportunity

Movie Measure is a great, user-friendly app that takes a lot of the guesswork out of movie trailer checking in that it automatically recognizes the trailer you’re seeing. I’ve recently received assignments from them, and I can’t say enough about how positive my interactions with the founder, Rakesh, along with those of his colleague, Kiesha, have been. I think one of the things I appreciate the most is their willingness to listen to those using the app and performing the trailer checks; feedback regarding what went well/what could be improved while using the app seems to be encouraged. I look forward to more work in the future.
Regarding a previous reviewer alleging lack of payment: I don’t know what his situation was, but I’m sure there’s something more going on. (I’ve not been paid yet, but I just started taking assignments, and it is not yet the end of the pay period.) That said, 1.) From what I’ve read about others’ experiences on different forums, they do pay according to schedule for completed and accepted assignments, and 2.) I see no reason why this company would contract with major movie corps and then bail on their IC’s.

SCAM!!!!

Do not under any circumstances download the app or work for these people? I did a job two months ago for these people and have yet to be paid. I've called them several times, and everytime there's some excuse as to why I've not been paid. Skip this app and the "company" all together.

I can tell you that we pay our trailer checkers monthly via Paypal or bank deposit, We pay for properly submitted work, that is genuine and can be verified. If it does not pass those validation tests, we reject it. Did you receive an approval email? If it is material installation, we pay for those when the client project is complete. Did you do an install? Please forward your emails to us and we will investigate so we can make sure this is closed. Rakesh, co-founder.
