What's New in MoviePro

10.0.2

August 25, 2026

MoviePro 10.0.2 puts the controls you use most closer to the shot. • Auto has a new quick-control bar for Stabilization, Motion Blur, Torch, Grid and Remote. • A new camera toggle in Auto mode makes switching between the front and rear cameras faster. • Direct +/− zoom controls now include adjustable zoom speed. Preferred Zoom UI (+/- or zoom rocker) can be enabled in Settings. • Supported microphones gain manual input-gain control. • Take Receipts are now off by default and can be enabled at any time in Settings. This keeps the recording view unobstructed, based on user feedback. • iPad capture controls, audio panels, Settings and Library playback are clearer and better fitted in both orientations. • Apple Log, Apple Log 2, ProRes SDR and 10-bit HEVC now preserve color and codec intent more accurately. • Stabilization tiers are resolved against the active camera format, with clearer unavailable states. • Frame-drop handling is more accurate, and capture-pipeline performance has been optimized for demanding recording formats. • Numerous fixes and enhancements make recording start and stop, clip finalization when MoviePro moves to the background, lens switching, Long Record codec handling and zoom more reliable. • UX refinements improve text sizing, legibility and accessibility, addressing feedback about controls that were difficult to read. NOTE: To switch between the front and rear cameras while recording, select 'Dual' scene and choose 'Cam Switch' as the recording type. Stabilization and zoom in DualCam have also been fixed. Dual scene provides seamless switching between cameras with zero delay. Thank you for the reports that shaped this update. Keep them coming at support@moviepro.app.

Pause and camera switching is not an option

I used to be able to record and switch cameras from front to rear and also pause and now I can only do the pausing if I’m in the pro mode but not switch cameras, but in the dual mode I cannot pause, but I can switch cameras. This feature was available before without any issues not now.

UPDATE IS AWFUL

I have used this app for years to produce videos for work. The new update has ruined all capability of using the front camera. Completely awful!

Hoping for more

It’s really recent so I know it has a lot of potential to get better with the glitches. So far after testing the stabilization modes (after it was fixed last week) it is far better than other apps I’ve used before for recording. Although true, I cannot continue using the app because although I select to record HEVC with Apple log 2, it still creates huge files. Saving these huge recording to my camera roll I can see they are still ProRes. So now I’m back to blackmagic until they fix this.

I Hate It!!!

They absolutely ruined it. This was my favorite camera app of all time. Now it's confusing, the font is tiny and the way it's arranged isn't user friendly. And the worse part is that they didn't give me the option to stay with the old version; the one that I actually paid for. Gone to BlackMagic.

New version is very much a let down

The new update seems to have lost the features and flexibilty I loved about this app.

My gripes reflect modern technology and being forced into the newest software update everytime. Really hoped this app was just gonna remain archaic yet compatable with my phone.

Oh well.
