Pure nostalgia for audiophiles!

Absolutely beautiful app. The attention to detail on the retro skins is incredible-watching the cassette reels spin and the VU meters move feels so satisfying. Beyond the looks, the audio engine is fantastic. True bit-perfect output with 32-bit float processing makes a huge difference when paired with an external DAC. Adding tape saturation, subtle wow & flutter, or a bit of vinyl hiss completely changes the vibe of my tracks. The touch interactions are tactile and features like 8D audio and Slowed+Reverb are amazing additions. If you have a collection of local music files, you absolutely need this player.

No streaming, no tracking, just pure offline listening. An absolute masterpiece for anyone who misses the physical music era.

Bug

For the cassette, spindles are supposed to spin same way - not at each other. Tape would break.

Response from developer

Hey! I saw your review and checked the album track order. You were right, it was a bug. I fixed it in the latest update, so tracks should now play in the correct order. I also added a bunch of new cassettes to the cassette player. Hope you’ll find one you like :) Thanks for the feedback and for using MP95! ❤️

Please change app icon

I like the app but please change the app icon to something more minimalist, like brown or blue colors, black grey white.. i know it sounds depressed. but i have ocd and it irritates me that theres so much colors and stuff going on.

Maybe we could decide in the app what icon to chose without paying cause that would destroy it.

Please also let us choose the vinyl color on the inside of the vinyl disc, so it doesn't change per sound.

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback! We’ve redesigned the app icon with a cleaner, more minimalist look and a calmer color palette. It’s included in the upcoming update. We’ve also noted your suggestion about choosing a fixed vinyl label color.

Crashes

When I pick songs, I get white box with errors about path names for songs too long, then it crashes. I think it crashes if there are too many songs in an album folder. I’d also add option for 10-band EQ. I want the look but the sound is from the 70s, and it sucked. How do we submit bugs?

Bug

Cool, but when I select an album, songs are out of order in the list.
