Used to work well on iPhone X, now it only crashes or blacks out.
This app was always “heavy”, “buggy” even when my iPhone X was very new. But it was ingenious, and although it crashed, and got my phone very hot, it did work. It was a high definition version of a Nintendo 3DS screen, once the cover was on (unfortunately the cover has holes for the camera so it can be used as a case as well when flipped over. But all in all it WAS still impressive.
You could use it - through the app, with YouTube 3D videos or their own sample images. But most importantly, you could see your OWN portrait mode images in stereoscopic, glassless, perfect 3D. With all the depth and trickery of the eye in all its glory. It also has built in a way to track your eyes, also similar to the last generation “New Nintendo 3DS”, which makes is so it adjusts to a bit of movement without you losing the effect, (as in the first models of the 3DS.
Apart from the portrait photos, you could also look at videos or photos in the Sode by Side format, and the app USED to convert the two images into one stereoscopic 3D one.
I used different apps to take photos that way too, that I could see on my 3D TV as well. And once again it worked beautifully. IN THE PAST.
(If I mention the 3DS a lot it’s only because it’s a mainstream product that essentially uses the same technology. On the 3DS the upper screen has essentially the same texture as the one on the cases by this company.)
Skip to right now. I didn’t use the case in a couple years and just found it again, and redownloaded the app. I’ve tried and tried, but NONE of the photos I used to be able to see work anymore. All the 3D photos I took and placed in a folder for the app, and all the portrait photos, once selected either cause the app to go completely BLACK, or crash. From the black you can go back to the main menu, but the following picture usually crashes it anyway. I tried and tried. I’ve closed all other apps, restarted the phone, forced rebooted. I have an 256 GB iPhone X, with plenty of space still free, and i used the case made by this company for the iPhone X.
The only thing that works: the YouTube 3D videos. It’s “cute”, but not why I bought the case. I got it to look at my own photos, and it *used to work”. It was never bug-free, I remember the screen also going black and some crashing, and the phone would warm up and eat up the battery fast. But when that happened you’d open the app again and try again and it worked. If the image looked black you could close and reopen or swipe for a new photo, and it’d work.
Now none of those “tricks” and “quick fixes” work. I wasn’t able to see anything besides the YouTube 3D page. Everything else: black screen or app crash.
Too bad, I’m part of a minority who really liked and enjoyed stereoscopic 3D tech. I find it unfortunate that 3D TVs are gone. And this turned my iPhone into a 3D capable device to take and display 3D content. Not anymore.
If this gets fixed, I’m sure to change my rating and review.

Wow! It’s rare to find something that works as expected and then exceeds your expectations!
This delivers exactly what it promises and does so effortlessly. The app works with a specially made phone case that when placed over the screen, takes special content on YouTube and makes it 3D, without you needing any glasses. The picture jumps right out at you!
Plus the app’s eye tracking feature along with the calibration makes sure you can still view content from any angle. I was amazed how well this works and how quick it was to set up.

Only gripe is, I wish I had more control over the resolution of the YouTube videos when viewed through their custom player.

Love the 3d..but not the app so much
I wish you were able to watch any video on YouTube and you should add a feature where you can watch full 3d movies as a in app purchase

Amazing, innovative way to view 3d.
Lenticular 3d for smartphones
My only issue is the 360/VR mode doesn’t properly interact with the gyroscope/accelerometer, skipping about. Please fix as this is a great way to view my 3d panoramic videos and other 3d content

Won’t calibrate with iPhone XS Max
The sliders don’t adjust angles for convergence, therefor I can not calibrate, and as of now the case and app are not functional. I saw it working in Korea at vr expo so I believe it works, just that the app isn’t done cooking yet for the new phones or something.
Update: contacted support, still no joy with iPhone XS Max :( totally bummed.

No longer works on IPhone
Was working great until the last update a month ago. Can’t watch anything now because the video is partially off screen. I can’t even use the play and 3D button since it’s off screen. Please fix this bug so I can use the screen cover and watch 3D again...

If they made the app so you could watch YouTube or Netflix in 3D they would be making $$ but by just using demo vids no ones going to buy it...

$40 case and all I can watch is demo vids?? Unless someone tells me how I can watch other video with it or games or any of the other things promised, I would NOT recommend spending the $$.
